Yes, but the point is that Majora's Mask was emulated poorly and froze at inconvenient times. This isn't even to mention the annoying sound glitches.Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask for the Gamecube are just emulated roms.

Majora's Mask needs More dungeons - not just the main 4 too 5.
Like about 12 to represent that of a clock.
More bosses etcz.
I know this isn't a proven fact and not a reliable source, but I always thought it was nice that each of the five areas represented one of the five stages of grief. I can get behind the idea of more content though, but I don't really see eight main dungeons being thrown in, despite how very nice it'd be. And besides, I always saw Zelda remakes more as polishing an old gem rather than an expansion, Wind Waker HD wasn't solely a graphical update after all, but it also brought in no real new content, it just polished on a few existing aspects that seem dated or disproved of by the fanbase. They said no to adding cut content, as cut content is usually implemented in future titles.
But personally, I would love to see at least the very least a mini-dungeon, but even then I still have my doubts. I don't want to anticipate anything but the original game being retextured at this moment... which is not a bad thing by any means.

Don't remind me of the awful Gamecube version of Majora's Mask.
It made me paranoid about losing hours of progress for years, even with the VC version (which I have heard it's not quite as stable as the N64 version, but I haven't fact-checked it).

I would love to see a bonus dungeon and a master quest like with OoT. As far as main dungeons go ... I never found that disappointing at all. They each seemed plenty long and interesting. Sometimes I wonder if the sheer size of dungeons in games like Wind Waker and Twilight Princess set some younger players up for disappointment when playing MM. I thought the dungeons were the perfect length, and the areas around them were usually intriguing and full of so much life and activity. Most of the areas also had mini-dungeons, so it's not like there's 4 dungeons and that's it.

Having played Majora's Mask on the Wii, I can safely confirm I encountered no dangerous bugs or bugs in general. I managed to beat it without any of the mentioned problems with the GC version happening, so that's that.

I suddenly feel very lucky for being able to beat Majora's Mask two and a half times on Gamecube and never encountering a single bug. Had no one mentioned it, I would have gone on with my life not knowing they even existed.

You are extremely lucky then. My GC version crashed no less than 10 times in a single playthrough. I discovered later that if you disable the rumble, you can diminish the chances of a freeze. I had to download the VC version because playing the GC version was so annoying...

If easier means better time control or less waiting, superguide overlords, I welcome thee. They better add a hero mode, though.
- Altered a boss (likely made it easier).
It better not be Greg the Giant Fish. Although if they made Twinmold harder, that would be welcome.
- Gameplay differences for New 3DS owners.

They didn't say the game would be easier. They said things would be easier to UNDERSTAND. Please, get your facts straight.
Oh, and if you think Aonuma should go die in a hole, or even wishing ANYONE should die, I think you should just leave this thread or the community as a whole. Joking or not. You are so disrespectful it's not even funny.

Okay, I'm stepping in before this escalates; to anyone who noticed this topic locked, it was only temporary so I could get this in.
I have to agree that wishing death on someone is never okay, nor funny. It's completely uncalled for. So they're taking a game you like and making some changes you don't like. So what? Is that really warranting of a death wish? No, no it isn't. Aonuma may never see your comment, but it's still hurtful and unnecessary. Just don't do it.
However, as uncalled for as said gesture is, we shouldn't be attempting to drive people away from our community. That's also uncalled for. Even if people cross the line sometimes, we should try to be human and understanding of each other.
That said, I'm going to immediately direct this back on topic, addressing the supposed "changes" that were given without a source. Firstly, an actual source:
http://nintendoevery...3ds-tease-more/
Looking over this article, I don't see anything about making the difficulty easier. I see it mentioning he thinks a remake would make it "easier to play," but that doesn't necessarily mean the difficulty is being lowered. Will it get lowered? Maybe still, but I don't think that's what it's getting at. He also seems to be wanting to streamline the experience and make it more accessible to new players. This does not have to mean easier; using Megaman games as an example, they were "accessible to new players" as well, in the sense that they usually teased you with a gimmick in a safe and controlled environment, then reintroduced it later under tougher constraints. That's accessibility, that's good for both new players and veterans, especially if it's a new gimmick. I'm not saying the same kind of thing can be pulled off in Zelda as easily, but it certainly proves that accessibility does not mean an easier game; he's saying he doesn't want Majora's Mask to feel like an extension of Ocarina of Time. Which is a good goal, if you ask me, though the identical character models will still probably have their say in things.
As for hint systems? Judging by recent games and remakes, they won't be mandatory. Don't like 'em? Don't use 'em. That one's a no-brainer.
There's also no say on whether the boss that's being changed will be made easier or just more unique. Personally if it does turn out to be nerfing Gyorg, that's something I would welcome highly because that boss is pretty terrible.
Either way, details are vague right now. Any of us could be right or wrong. Wait a while first until details or the game are released before throwing out wild guesses and accusations. And if you don't like the new and finished product... well, the original form still exists, you'll always have that one. ![]()

Most of the bosses have multiple ways to tackle them, such as fighting Twinmold using arrows while small, or beating Goht without Goron form. I've always been disappointed that Gyorg didn't follow that. Why not allow for more ways to defeat him using a variety of transformation masks? That seems like a way of "nerfing" him while also making him as interesting to fight as the other bosses.

Oh god, Gyrog was horrible! I remember dying the most from that boss. It's like Attack on Titan underwater.
Also, if I recall, Majora's Mark fires a flame attack on Zora Link that knocks you out. Does that reset Majora's health?

I was so close to beating the Great Bay Temple in a matter of 3 days (maybe 6 though, I'm not sure, it's been awhile!), but that damn Gyrog wouldn't let me finish the temple without resetting the clock, recollecting the boss key, traveling through this evil maze once more, just so I had enough time to beat him while having enough time to figure out how. This was my only major negative experience with the game, so "nerfing" the boss maybe a good idea. Because I was confused as to what to do, in addition to the swimming controls -- it was just torture, and I'm sure there are people out there that would agree with me on that one.
But hey, it's a water temple, I was a fool expecting something easy. ![]()
