So fellas, so far what do you think of my Hybrid Tileset? It may not be as pretty or awesome as Firebird, but at least it's a big contribution to the database! :D Anyway, for those of you wanting NPCs, I brought a little gift for you:

npc1_zps2f50f9ef.png npc2_zps4db23bc5.png

Who said the GB NPCs suck? With this brilliant recolor I have given to these little guys, I'm proud to say this is so far my best work yet since I'm still learning to sprite :) The ones I'm most proud of are the Gorons since I took the OoT ones as a base and the new soldiers! For those of you waiting for these, they will be available next update, but if you want, you can rip them from these shots here (They use 8bit mode, so leech them). The dekus are still a WIP, but the rest are already finished.

Feedback appreciated!

Well, I found a tile error: On page 37 tile 9533 the solidity is on the wrong half of the combo, Though this doesn't seem like something for an entire update I thought I should let you know so future versions of this will be "bug"-free

How may I go about updating to the new update that is supposedly going to be released later?

FYI, it's already out :) To update, open the latest version, go to File -> Export -> Graphics Pack, save it as a .zgp file and then open your quest, go to File -> Import -> Graphics Pack, select the saved .zgp file and you're ready to go! :)
BTW: Make a backup of all custom palettes and tiles since updating erases custom data

Well, almost a month later since last update, stay tuned for another one in the Database! :D Update includes:

  • Finished Organizing Combo Table and Tile Pages (Feel free to use the space wisely)
  • Fixed a few tile errors.
  • Imported all NPCs to the Combo Table

But... What remains is to actually recolor the NPCs (or most of them actually). The ugly plain GB ones will remain as placeholders until all of them are recolored into. Why did I do this? Well, I need to work on my quest as well and this was actually useful now that I know how much space I really have. So, the next update I hope I can have it ready by the end of this year. As always, help or comments/suggestions are welcome, and thanks for supporting so far! :D

Well, the first final release has been submitted.

Is that... different from the last final release? How many final releases do you anticipate having? I'm actually very concerned. This is serious business.

Well, I'm not sure why it's so serious. Only the NPCs I added need to be recolored to fit the style of the rest, abd the Combo Aliases table needs to be done as well. I hope I can cover these expectations sooner or later :)
