Unfortunately, it's looking like I won't be able to get enough done in time to feel okay with putting my entry out there.  Just going to be too busy the rest of this week (including later today) to be sitting on my computer long enough to get things done.  Sorry about that...

I will still probably end up going back later and finishing/releasing my game some other time, though.  So it's still coming, just... a bit slower.

If random people playing the quest find bugs after the deadline, will we be able to fix them provided we don't add anything new or do the rules of the last 2 week contest apply here. I realize I've basically jumped through every loophole there is and I'd be fine if my quest was disqualified altogether because of this even, but I still want to make the best possible product I can make.

I'd say correcting game-breaking bugs is ok. I think anything more than that (adding new things or polishing existing things that work properly) should not be done [as far as the contest goes], as that would be like extending the deadline in a messy way.

I'm doing quite well, but I still need to work hard if I want to make the deadline. For a change I'm having so much fun building dungeons, I never experienced it before. It's like ZQuest is very new and fresh for me now. This contest is probably the most motivating ZC thing I ever did.

I'm at like, 75% progress right now. Will I make it, or will I make it?! There is no choice.

Welp, that just about sums it up for my end.

I can't even say I'm at the 75% mark.  In fact, I haven't finished a dungeon.  I've kind of been getting blank-paper syndrome with the whole dungeon thing.  But I didn't sign up to drop out, so you all better expect something from me Sunday night!  The Legend of the Golf will be told...

Due to an unfortunate medical situation (thankfully now resolved), I will not be able to finish in time.  Best of luck to all the remaining entrants.

Status update: trying to learn ZQuest for the first time and make something with it in like 5 days: maybe not the best idea.

I have resorted to trying to learn scripting, as it seems to be easier than trying to do literally anything with ZQuest proper.

Guys...I crossed the 4000 lines of code mark. Help...me...

So I'm definitely going to finish this quest. Will I be able to make it by the deadline, though?

So ya know what he didn't mention? When he made that post, he hadn't gone to bed yet. 10:15 in the morning and he hadn't gone to sleep, because of the quest. Yeah... It's funny, this contest had really shown how we work under pressure. I stay pretty calm and if time crunch is happening, start planning what needs to be downscaled or cut for time. Moosh, on the other hand, pulls all-nighters and panics.

Either way, I'm working on the quest now while we check Moosh into the mental hospital he gets much needed sleep. Not much left now, just a small miniboss, setting up the overworld side warps, fixing a few things on the overworld, setting music, a few cutscenes, and bug testing.

Heh, and then you got me... who finished my entry a full week early. Some may say I rushed it, but I say I didn't plan much anyway, and I didn't actually have much to work with lol.

Pulling all-nighters? Wow :P You should win a special award for that.
