Lets race the sims 1, kill cassandra goth without allowing her to leave the house, while maintaining 7 friends at the same time.

(Not really but wow that would be cool I mean I always used to burn her as a child that's pretty normal though I mean every kid used to burn sims right I mean I hope so otherwise I'd feel really messed up and I'm kind of scared I'm the only who did that aren't I oh no)

We must race Kaizo Mario-*shot*

Kaizo Mario 64 rather. But that would be the end of our lives.

Just a few reminders.

  • Unless a bunch of scheduling conflicts suddenly happen with the people that are interested, a Super Mario 64 race is probably happening tomorrow. The race will probably involve getting 70 stars then beating the final Bowser.
  • Even if you're not interested in racing Super Mario 64 or Super Mario World in particular, you can still join the race chat if you're interested in racing people at something. We have impromptu races whenever people are interested and there are definitely other games we'll be planning out to race ahead of time. I know I keep re-iterating this, but we haven't had many new people joining the race chat lately, so I'm making sure that isn't because of confusion on this point. The race chat isn't just for one game at a time that I mention in the thread.
  • Given the amount of interest in it and the significance of the game for this website, a Zelda 1 race is probably in the cards sometime. I'm sure we'll also be racing other classics like Super Metroid, A Link to the Past, Super Mario 3, various Mega Man games, the Sonics, some shorter ZC quests, and such. And then there will be random stuff. Deciding on what we do when will probably depend on taking interest posts in the thread and the replies interested in racing those and throwing them at the race chat to see when or if people are interested in doing the race. This is part of why it's important to be in the race chat if you want to race people since we do scheduling there.

Have you guys got a specific time for tomorrow's Super Mario 64 race if it will happen? If it's an adequate time, I could probably join in for the fun. My SM64 skills are god awful but I'll give it a shot.

Since it's a Friday, several of the interested people have work, school, and such to deal with. So the race will be late evening at the earliest. The past two races we've done, we've shot for 7:00-7:30 PM EST at the earliest.

I have to run though. We'll probably figure out the time on Skype later, so don't take my estimate as the actual time.

I'll probably participate in this given the time works out.

I always leave a group chat after the purpose is served, because Skype sounds yo.  I like to record things, and all of that serves no purpose in the recording XD.  I will say that I'm not doing the SM64 race, since I've never played it, and I refuse to keyboard that game, despite keyboarding  OoT with zero deaths.  Just post when the schedule for the Z1 race is generalized.  I've got my NES emulator all ready for that.

Regarding Skype: Either turn off Skype sounds or set your status to "do not disturb," which will disable sounds and Skype won't flash in your toolbar; it'll show a little number if a conversation is being posted in, but it won't flash. I turned off Skype sounds a long time ago and have been happy since.

Ah alright then, I got until like 9pm GMT since I'll be off playing some ALBW after.

And EST that's like around 3-4pm... I think.

You can disable IM sounds per-conversation, too, if you'd prefer.  In the menu, click on Conversation -> Notification Settings... -> Do not notify me (or "Notify me only if these words are mentioned", then put whatever you want in the text box below).

Not related to the run or anything, but I'm testing my capture card with Super Mario World, and i'll be uploading it to youtube.  If I can get it to work decently, I'll be able to do video game races, albeit meh quality.  I'll edit this post when the link is available.

I learned tonight that Mario is not held in as high regard as is commonly perceived

And that also birds are bad
