I have full faith in this quest. The screenshots and ideas are really professional.

Yes.  Truly, it just gets better and better.  Every single dungeon was amazing.  I'm more than halfway through level 6 at the moment.

Jamian has a mind that threatens to devour us all with its cleverness.

Remember, the hammer deals just as much damage as the arrows. Use it to kill the enemies closer to you and conserve arrow ammo. Bombs work too as delayed damage. This boss can be pretty brutal if you don't use your items together well to maximize DPS. If you find the hammer too slow I believe you can also sequence break ahead a bit and go find the magic sword.

I would say save your arrows and bombs for the boss. Enemies can be dealt with with the sword (and bombs when you can make them hit the boss too). The hammer works well against the boss as well. Keep hitting him and don't let the enemies hang around for too long lest they will feed him.

Damnit, I forgot totally about the hammer. I finished the boss easily in the first try with the hammer, I barely used arrows.

You are a fool Luigi. I don't deserve the title of super player of La-Mulana anymore ;_; What an embarrasment!

Spoiler

Thanks guys.

Oh god.  I just found the most awesome bug/feature ever.  It's probably a bit of a spoiler, though, so I'll put it in Jamian-speak.

A screen to the west of level 6, in the hidden area, you can shovel the floor.  Think about it.   It doesn't affect the acquisition of that horrible jest.

Yeah.  But seriously, how do you get into level 6. x X.  A few screens to the south of it, I see that switch, but there are hookshot cacti in the way.  They refuse to be burned, chopped, hacked at, or generally maimed in any way!

How do I access these stairs ....I tried dropping in from above, but just not quite enough.  Every route I take needs the orange blocks down.  What am I missing...again..?? Thanks

Take the north big bridge in the overworld, and advance until you find a dead end. Use the spin attack to check the walls and bomb it.

Drop in the hole with the blue squares down, I don't remind well.

Look for a bombable wall on the upper floor.  It stumped me for a bit, too.

I have the hammer.  There are no more dead ends. :P   I'm in the north-east part of the overworld.  The screen to the west of the upper-right corner has a shop, and the screen to the south of the upper-right corner has level 6, presumably.   Which is the screen with the secret?   How would a spin attack detect secret walls, anyway?  You can just tap it with your sword.  The spin attack itself wouldn't really do anything, would it?  I know there's that diamond-enclosure of brown shrubs, but digging there only reveals rupees.

There's one screen with a Spiny hanging out in a closed area. Remember how to kill Spinies and mind the space where he is seemingly trapped.

Hi!

After level 3, we get new treasure map from the cartographer. One of them is near level 4 in a mountain with a very long ladder. Inside that cave, one screen left, we can bomb the upper wall near the green statue and get in a room with a lot of green statue. When I move, the 2 grey barriers get up. How can I reach them without being seen by the green statue?

One more question. When do we get the 2nd sword?

Thanks!

I will trade you a bug report for the location of that one screen with the spiny, Jamian.  :?

When I move, the 2 grey barriers get up. How can I reach them without being seen by the green statue?
Those statues shift their eyes in several directions.  Each direction they look in represents the space closest to that statue, not a straight line going across the screen.  So essentially, wherever one of those statues looks, do not step on the square immediately next to that statue in that direction.

I think the L2 Sword is found via one of the Treasure Maps.  Don't quite recall which, or if that's true.

Ok, hold on, how did you get the hammer if you couldn't enter level 6? Or did you mean level 7? If so, disregard the hint about the Spiny because it referred to the pre-level 6 part.

Kimeramon: Let's just say you are really close to finding that sword ;) In that room with the green statues, watch their eyes carefully. They are looking at adjacent combos that will trigger the blocks. So if a statue is looking left, avoid walking on the combo directly to the left of it. And so on. Find your path there while avoiding the spots the statues are looking at.

My apologies, I mean the ice temple.  Level 6 is the thief place.  Maybe I have gone insane.  But seriously, I have to dig, apparently.  Will trade an overlooked bug for the exact screen and way to get there.  I've dug all over the northeast quadrant of the map, and I hope I have simply missed it.

Feel free to PM me about that bug if it's too spoiler-ish or exploitable.

So in the small maze-like area around level 7, look at the trees, some of them look different. Burn them, and then you should figure out what to do next.
