Calm down Keiichi, it'll be on Nick.com by Monday. Or on torrent sites right now if you're not legally inclined. icon_razz.gif

We allowed to mention streaming sites, or is that against the rules? I missed the show too, but it seems the site I use to watch the show already has it up. If nobody really minds, I'd be more than happy to point out the name of the site.

You know, the way they're advertising the show is a bit confusing. When they started showing ads for the season finale immediately after the previous episode, I thought that meant they were skipping a week, or something. That's pretty much the only reason I missed it on TV today.

EDIT: If anybody here knows the language they're using, could somebody please tell me what the word on the front of the blimps is?

EDIT II: Nevermind on the translation request. Turns out that first shot is just an odd angle, and it's just the scales symbol that the Equalists use.

May want to google for the site "Anime Here" - It has all of the episodes. It's where I watch it.

Thanks again, ShadowTiger, for showing me that site. There's a lot of neat stuff there! I just hate how the dub/sub labeling isn't accurate. Everything's marked as subtitled, making finding stuff for my younger siblings (who aren't patient enough to read subtitles) rather difficult.

Anyways, about today's show. You guys mentioned already how they used the same voice actor for General Iroh as they did for Zuko in the first series. You would have thought that they would have at least tried having the guy talk in a slightly different voice. I know it's mainly something to make the long-term fans happy, but it's kind of odd hearing a familiar voice coming from a new character.

His voice actor is already doing that.

Well I wanted to just post this:

... but then I found someone just totally broke through with some incredible brilliance regarding Amon's possible method of bending removal... In this:

My mind is blown.

Well if that image is true, that means Amon's bending removal isn't permanent, and could just be undone by unblocking the chakra. Which seems like it would be easy to do; after all, it's blocked by something as simple as illusion. Then again, I guess Amon's illusion of taking away bending forever is pretty good. Hrm...

If ten thousand different and independent people call you a toaster, you're gonna think you're a toaster. Probably for a while.

Fear can do horrible things to you.

True enough. Now, here's another thing somebody pointed out that's pretty interesting.

If it turns out to be right, then well, that's pretty interesting. And it'd me Zutara almost happened... in a way... one generation removed...

Saw that as well. I think it could be a neat relationship, personally, although it could also just be similarly-designed facial features with no real connection. That happens in cartoons, although yes, I know, Avatar tends to give more attention to detail and Yakone and Tarrlok had many facial similarities.

It really is a pity they had to cram this entire story into only twelve episodes. They're brilliantly written and carry the same weight and heart that the original series did, but the compression has really started to show.

They don't have the showtime to do an episode that exclusively focuses on Korra meeting a wind dragon pig to learn the secrets of air bending. The most stride she's made thus far is being locked in a box for an episode. It's somewhat annoying, because I think everyone can agree if they'd been given more episodes they would have done a splendid job filling it up.

The only other issue I have that is Mako as a character.
Spoiler
Besides the rescue of Bolin and being the last man standing in the pro bending shindig, I'm having a really hard time coming up with anything particularly special he's done. Even Asami has better character development and straightforward motives. I'm really hoping they do... something to make him more unique.

Finally: Linnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Best character in a show of best characters.

I haven't really thought about Mako to think of him as an underwhelming character, but then again, I think the trio is pretty underwhelming in general; Korra's fine if not stereotypical, Mako is typical male lead role, and Bolin is an idiot. I guess you do have a point though. Also while Lin is a good character, I still like Tenzin and Amon better. icon_heh.gif

Really, I don't feel like a lot of the series lives up to The Last Airbender, atmosphere and characters included. It's pretty good, and I don't mind the compression, because it gets rid of unnecessary filler; let's be honest, even if it was good, Airbender was pretty rife with it. Still, the last few episodes have been good, and I can't wait for the finale.

At best, they could decompress it by about two episodes without making filler. It's just a little on the rushed side.
