You know, the way they're advertising the show is a bit confusing. When they started showing ads for the season finale immediately after the previous episode, I thought that meant they were skipping a week, or something. That's pretty much the only reason I missed it on TV today.
EDIT: If anybody here knows the language they're using, could somebody please tell me what the word on the front of the blimps is?
EDIT II: Nevermind on the translation request. Turns out that first shot is just an odd angle, and it's just the scales symbol that the Equalists use.

Anyways, about today's show. You guys mentioned already how they used the same voice actor for General Iroh as they did for Zuko in the first series. You would have thought that they would have at least tried having the guy talk in a slightly different voice. I know it's mainly something to make the long-term fans happy, but it's kind of odd hearing a familiar voice coming from a new character.

... but then I found someone just totally broke through with some incredible brilliance regarding Amon's possible method of bending removal... In this:

If it turns out to be right, then well, that's pretty interesting. And it'd me Zutara almost happened... in a way... one generation removed...

They don't have the showtime to do an episode that exclusively focuses on Korra meeting a wind dragon pig to learn the secrets of air bending. The most stride she's made thus far is being locked in a box for an episode. It's somewhat annoying, because I think everyone can agree if they'd been given more episodes they would have done a splendid job filling it up.
The only other issue I have that is Mako as a character.
Finally: Linnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Best character in a show of best characters.

Really, I don't feel like a lot of the series lives up to The Last Airbender, atmosphere and characters included. It's pretty good, and I don't mind the compression, because it gets rid of unnecessary filler; let's be honest, even if it was good, Airbender was pretty rife with it. Still, the last few episodes have been good, and I can't wait for the finale.
