The coatmaker: from the start go two or tree screens up and use hookshot to get over the river,and as far as I know you can't save the man

you'll talk to that mans wife later in the game on the way to level 6
she wonders what became of him

the clue to the coatmaker is telling you to hookshot across the river there.
that's where all the coats are in this game.

I am stuck trying to get that key outside of level 9. The one behind the rocks in the water near the potion shop. I read that you are suppose to bomb a wall in one of the two caves that enter to level 9. But which cave do I bomb? I can't seem to find a cracked wall anywhere. I have explored most of level 9 and found alot a keys so far. But I still need this one to advance further.

it's in the cave by the chest
there are 2 caves leading in to level 9 the right one is the one you want, the crack is up towards the top of the wall by the chest to the right.

I'm stuck in level 3. I fioud several statues and crystal ball switches that would probably trigger with arrows, but I don't have them. I also found some blocks that I think I need the bracelet for, but again I don't have that either.

I've been to both entrances, but I can't seem to get very far in either. I really like the quest so far, especially the music

In level 3 try to push a candle in the wall

I am in L6 , 2nd tower I see a room that I can't reach just before the boss room on my right, since I don't have the boss key yet I think it may be in that room, how do I get to it?

I'm in the gothic Cemetary dungeon plae, and cannot get through the room up top where you need the bomb to get in.

go out that room and to the left hit statue with boomerang
and go on to hit the orb in the room up top that will lower the blocks and open the way in that room

There are no blocks in that room, there are a few stalfos, and four of the skulls with eyes. Then there are spikies in front of the door, I just can't get it to open.

hit the statue with the boomerang, in the small room to the left of the room where you bombed.

E is the entrance, rooms on either side, between ? and E was a bombable wall. I cannot get to any statues. Unless you mean the orb thingies and I hit the one but cannot reach the other.

I don't even know what level you are in.
if you're in 2 go up, first to the righthand set of rooms, then up in the center set of rooms.
light the torches, all 4 of them, watch the eyes so you know what the next one to light is.
