Now, before any of you go through Level 9, I highly recommend exploring the area below the volcano in Antiquity. You will find it very rewarding.

Crap....I can't believe I missed a door to the left into the room where you hookshot across....dumb, dumb, dumb!!!


I got the book and hammer....never found the map, would like to though as a lot of times I didn't know what floor I was on...would really like to explore it some more...was there any heart piece or magic cell in there??

You chose Despair, eh? Excellent choice.
EDIT: That block is supposed to open the shutter....the door is set to Shutter, the screen flag is set properly, and it's the right block flag. The door should open! O.o
For now, I'd just do a Continue and skip that. There's nothing in there anyway.

I don't think the last area is beatable (or extremily difficult). When you die, hit continue, you start out with 3 hearts. It's almost impossible to do anything with 3 hearts at that point expecially if you are out of potions....

I need a reminder hint as to the location of the shop that sells super bombs. I know I found it once but damned if I can find it again. I just finished L7 and Secret Level 2.

The bomb shop is in the present ...from the start point go east, to the right of the waters....it's in the area just before Methala (sp. not sure I got the name right) you have to go down and wind around to a cave. Make sure your purchasing power is at least 300 rupees.



Does the object in the lower right have any significance?




The steps leading down just keep you in the same half of the room....






Enjoyed it so much that I'm going to pick up "Lands of serenity" again!!

The wacky steps are just another part of the fun in the Path of Despair, and I put that object in there just to make you wonder that.
Nah, there aren't. I just wanted to spice things up a bit by letting the player pick their own poison.
I'm glad you had fun.

You may have run into the same problem I did, discussed earlier in the thread. There is one key extra in L2, and one key short in L3. If you didn't enter L3 with an extra key, you need to go back and get it.
