Check this out. It's gameplay footage shown on Pokemon Sunday. If the starter pokemon don't redeem this, there's no way I'm getting this. This is a joke.

I guess what I really meant was the announcement of more new Pokemon. That's what I'm more interested in.

Yes, that would be nice... >_>

What exactly is it shown there? Mind giving some details Rem? A youtube video maybe so we wouldn't need to download anything.

Here you go. You shouldn't need to download the other one. It's just quicktime so should play right in the browser. But eh. Technology is screwy now-a-days, so I wouldn't doubt that your computer prompted you to download it instead.

EDIT: That's not the same exact video, by the way. The one I uploaded before was the raw footage. This is somebody's youtube video showing the footage.

Wow! That was cool! I think the region takes place in Tokyo. The 3D looks awesome so far. Can't for gameplay footage and some new pokemon. I hope the starters are cute.

Wrong. Geographically, Saffron City is Tokyo. If I had to to take a wild guess, I'd say they're using the region between Johto and Hoenn in Japan, and the big city is Hiroshima.

There's always the chance that this region won't be based off somewhere in Japan. icon_shrug.gif

Well, all of the other main ones have, as well as one, and maybe two, of the Ranger games' regions.

Pokemon doesn't really take place in our dimension, so saying that the cities are actually other cities is sort of wrong. It's entirely possible that the developers have drawn inspiration from some real cities, but other than that, it's all pretty much fantasy as far as I know. icon_shrug.gif

Lt. Surge is from America. The Pokedex says Poliwrath can swim across the Pacific Ocean. Fantina meantions she's foreign, and I believe (though not sure) she mentions Europe. I'm pretty sure the Pokemon world regions are supposed to be Japan.

Oh, would you look at that. I didn't know icon_razz.gif

Well, I can't say the map is identical, but it does look like they did draw some inspiration from it, without a doubt. If I would go as far and claim that it's a replica of Japan however, I don't know.

Yeah, they're not trying to be exact, it's just largely based off of those regions in Japan. I've read about it before.

For real? icon_confused.gif I think that it's kind of awkward and doesn't work too well...The only thing that can save it graphics wise is if there will be a camera toggle thing, which Nintendo has never done even in regular 3-D Pokemon games...

Here is the City music from the video. I seriously don't know how this person extracted the music from the video o.O

Seems now even Pokémon is downgrading itself into the kind of music that may be enjoyable but is also mediocre and forgettable. icon_frown.gif

That is, if that's even real. icon_eek.gif

I agree completely. icon_confused.gif

I hope it's not real...This just keeps going down hill in my opinion. >_>

It's okay, but isn't real memorable.
