So I am currently playing the game and shot that statue on the edge of the forest but can not find level 2. I found a small place but it says level 5 when I enter it, any help on how to find level 2?

ok nevermind I read the posts here but I am very lost now. I am in level four and I am at the 3rd key or boss key not sure which one it is but I have no new items yet from this temple. I am in a room that has three trees and it looks like you could hook shot over to a statue but you cant. there is an entrance on the north and west sides of the room, the south is a wall and the east is a treasure chest, a statue, and a button to press but I have no idea how to get there, please someone help.

Can anyone tell me if I've found a glitch: I just grabbed the boss key in level 2, and it's not in my subscreen. I can't open boss door or the big gold chests. Nor is the boss key sitting where I found it (I thought I might not have grasped it firmly). Where did it go?!?!?!?!

I'm pretty sure that when you grabbed what looked like the boss key, it triggered a chest to appear in the same room, and it contains the real boss key.

Doh! Amidst all of the different chests, I thought I'd already seen and opened that one. Thanks!

I decided to revist this game after a long layoff, anyone know how to help me on this part? Thanks in advance

Level 4 is extremely complex and difficult, and I think many people (including myself) had to cheat to get through it because the boss key is too hard to find. You need to get to the left side of the room you described to be able to hookshot over, and the path starts with going through the left door in the screen below. You can also go up in this room.

this is the part I am stuck at and never beat... I am going to get on it now find it, so thats the screen you use to hookshot over too? or what exactly...

You must not be going through all of the passageways. Maybe if you diagram where you've been, and make notes of the triggering items and their locations that you can see when in "Off". Here's where the sword upgrade is in the "On" state:

Great for you, DFW! Yes, there's an HC piece in level 4, but I don't remember where exactly; it's in a big chest after a block puzzle.

Not sure, but probably On since that's where everything else is. From Start, down, left, down.

Anyway, I'm in the Grave mini-dungeon and I'm so close to getting the blue mail, problem is, none of the torches within reach light up. So I'm lost as to how to get over to the blue mail.

also, where can I find the bait?

I think you have to return when you have the wand and book to get the blue mail, and I forget where the bait is. (The readme file says it's in a miniquest.)
