You actually found the entrance to Level 9.1, not 8. To get to Level 8, you need to burn a bush on a long, vertical pass inhabited by Blue Octoroks. (This screen is very close to the snowy area, and the best way to burn the bush is with the Wand since it's on the edge of the screen.) Go down the ladder that appears, work your way around to a part of the snow level that has a bombable wall. When you bomb it, it turns normal and a ladder appears. Go back around and go down the ladder. Burn the bush on the way, then go back around and go through the cave that appears. Head through and you're at the summit. Go north, kill the Manhandla2, continue on, and inside the Gohma statue lies Level 8. I recommend bringing at least 100 Rupees in with you-- you'll need at least half of them, and that's if you don't die at all on those parts.

I'm going from memory, so I hope this info is accurate.

But yeah, the spinning tile is Level 9.1. There are 3 Level 9s. You learn about them after you beat Level 8.

Edit: About getting money, you can make a lot by killing Blue Tektites. Wallmasters and Ropes seem to have a lot too. You don't need any of the SUPER expensive items-- but you'll want a Super Bomb pretty soon. Since money will be an issue in Level 8, though (just at first), hold off on that until you have the Silver Arrow (which is in Level 9.1).

Hello,

I don't know if this is a glitch or you just designed it this way.

The very large yellow gems that periodically pop up in special places. You pick one up and it's worth a whoppin 5 ruppies. I would think it would be worth more than that... especially since the very large blue gems are worth 50 ruppies.
The ONLY gem in the entire quest that I picked up that was worth 200 rupees was the "one million dollars" gem. Had a big exclamation mark on it. But clearly, I only got 5 for the other yellow gems.
Also, the guy that sells the superbomb? Hillarious! "This is the only thing I sell. It's lonely, but I make great fireworks!"

Ok, so lemme get this straight. The superbomb is lonely? And the person selling the superbomb makes great fireworks?

Don't change this one, it's funny. icon_smile.gif

If either of these are glitches, then I guess I should consider a career in beta testing. I've never beta tested before, but if I can find mistakes in a quest that is meticulous at being mistake free, then perhaps there is a career in this. lol

The yellow gem SHOULD be worth 200 Rupees. It gives ME 200 Rupees... Weird. (Or was that 20? There's 2 kinds of yellow gems... Meh, don't remember.)

The string... The guy means "It's lonely around here", not that the bomb's lonely. But I won't change that, 'cause you're right, it IS pretty funny. icon_razz.gif

One of the biggest mistakes I made while making Molka was the fact that I released it without hiring any beta testers. I beta tested it myself, and thus I didn't get all the bugs since I knew every which way to go. So if you're finding any bugs, it's probably for that reason. Yeah, if you think you're good at it, I definitely recommend getting into the beta testing business. Good authors NEED good beta testers, and these days they're hard to come by. The only thing you really need is commitment and a lot of free time on your hands. icon_smile.gif

I'm in Level 9-1. I've done all but the last few rooms. I don't know how to solve the puzzle in the room with the wizzrobe that releases the bats. There's a block in the way and I can only reflect magic up or down, not back towards the trigger statue.

Edit: Never mind. I figured out my problem and I am off to Level 9-2.

Stuck for what will hopefully be the last time. I am in the Network, along the southern corridor of rooms. There is a room with a large gold rupee in the center (that appears after you defeat all the enemies). One room south is a key that appears the same way. The problem is that I can't find any way to get to the center portion of the room, only the outside portions. One room to my east is a room that just seems to repeat itself.

Edit: I figured it out.

Hi! a little opinion .
this won't be the last time you'll get stuck!
you will shout for help many more times
on this molka network there's some key & money to pick up
but the only thing really worth, is the magic increase
and the get out to those hard to cross mountains

vravelo, I don't like your tone. icon_mad.gif

Let's see... To get through the Molka Network starting from the room with Rupees in the middle: First, hookshot to the right side of the room. Go right, kill the Cracktoroks and get the key. Go right four times. Unlock the lock block, keep going right, and go up when you find the next Lock Block. Navigate the Patra Maze, kill the BS Patra at the top, then go left. Make it through the two invisible mazes until you reach the screen with a lot of normal Octos. Burn one of the bushes with the Red Candle and the path opens up to the Rupee screen below where you started, including the Key. Get it, hookshot across to the right to be back where you started plus one key, go right until you reach that Lock Block again, unlock it, get healed by the Guy and it's off to the last level with you. icon_smile.gif

Edit: Oops. Well, here's the directions just in case anyone else needs 'em... icon_heh.gif

I finally finished it! That was one tough quest and I'm not ashamed to admit that I did get the gold ring. I think I could have won without it but it did make the last few dungeons quite a bit more tolerable. My main frustration was with some of the rooms with the wizzrobes that return you to the beginning. I'd get a little sloppy, get hit, and have to do the same rooms over and over. Especially in Almost 10.

Anyway, very addictive, if tough, custom quest. Loved it.

Lessee...Level 3 is somewhat north of Level 2. Look for places where you can use Level 2's item.

No, no, no...do you have the candle yet? If not, go back and get it. Then do some exploring. If you see a tile with a note on it, you know what to do...
