I would be so happy to join a PZC tournament if only my internet connection could let me play at more than 1 FPS (I am not even kidding).

Still, I'd like to try it anyway. Let me know if/when it starts!

Progress: Completed the first panel of Challenges and unlocked the 2nd panel (and by doing so I got Flat Zone 2, the last stage I had to unlock). I managed to beat All-Star on Normal with Bowser (Bowser is a beast, I was doing almost 60% damage with the Bowser Bomb per hit), and tried out Smash Run and played a few rounds of it.

For people that want to make tournaments for time to time: http://www.purezc.ne...showtopic=64865

Anyway, I've been playing a lot today; I've played every mode possible in the game (other than online) and I've unlocked quite a few characters and stages. Great game! :D

I'm trying to get better with Little Mac.  He has some crazy potential.

Unlocked every character. Now it's a matter of beating the challenges, getting the trophies, and collecting the alt specials. Not a single Megaman one yet... Either way, I can rest easy about this not having plenty of single-player content, because it's definitely still there. Still haven't tried any online matches yet, will eventually.

Also might as well post about it here, thought sigtau would have but since we haven't, we have an IRC channel, #smashbros," if people want to come in on IRC and chill with us there to talk about the game. :)

I don't know if you already knew this, but you have a higher probability of getting custom moves for the character you're playing as. Smash Run seems to be the most efficient way of unlocking new specials.

Smash Run is either really generous or really finicky, often giving me the same ones I already have.  Trophy Rush has been really nice for getting custom moves, though.  Especially since I had all those coins collecting dust.

One omission I miss are event matches. Boy I loved those in Melee and Brawl. Do you guys know if Event Matches are going to be on the Wii U version? I could see Event Matches as DLC.

I actually haven't done anything other than play Classic mode, and play online. Nothing else really interests me at the moment.

Also, I'm pretty damn good with Toon Link. #NonHumbleBrag

I've unlocked most of the characters at this point. And after playing some more, I've been finding myself using Rosalina almost exclusively. She's a lot of fun to play! Though I've dabbled around with a few others at this point, I think it's safe to say that I'll be sticking with Rosalina as my main. :3

On a side note, I meant to post this screen shot but kept forgetting.

I just can't get the feel of Duck Hunt at all.  I just can't figure out how to deal decent finishing moves.

With Rosalina, I've heard she's difficult to use, but really good when you get used to her. She's one I'll probably try to main as well once the Wii U version comes out.

An early tier list out of Japan even puts her in the highest tier. But that's just from one tournament's results or something like that I think. Surprisingly Yoshi is also highest tier and Palutena is in the garbage tier with Ganondorf, so it still sounds like it's off a bit, but who knows.

Also, I'm thinking we need Eevee playable in the next Smash now. Adding in the ability to evolve into different Eeveelutions by playing on different stages or getting hit by a certain elemental attack could be a neat gimmick after all. Eevee is already pretty popular too..

That Eevee idea sounds great, and I'd be all for it.  Of course, character transformations are sort of...not a thing anymore, I guess.  Though Super Smash Land has Vaporeon as an unlockable character if you wanna try that. :heh:

So anyway, been unlocking custom moves, and while there is some stuff that I'm sure I'll never use, there's a lot of nice stuff that I feel is downright improvements.  For Mega Man, Hyper Bomb and Ice Slasher together are evil- the latter launches them up into the air, and if you arc a Hyper Bomb at the right time, it's a nasty ranged combo.  For Mario, I've got an entirely fire power set- Fire Orb, Shocking Cape (I'm going with Avatar logic here okay), Explosive Jump, and Scalding FLUDD- and it deals a lot of damage, very quickly.  Ness' PSI Rising Flash is waaaaaaay better than its normal variant and I love PSI Vacuum, considering I hardly ever used Magnet with the little amount of opportunities I've had to.  I'm also digging the SMB1 style fire breath from Bowser, along with the Bowser Bomb that has a whirlwind effect.  I actually just can't get over how good I am with Bowser now.  I was so dreadfully awful with him in the last two games- and I often used him as a punching bag when fighting CPUs.

Favorite stages so far: 3D Land, Spirit Train, Mute City, Magicant, Tortimer Island, and Boxing Ring.  I suppose I'll add Wily Castle, but mostly just for the music- I don't really like Yellow Devil rearing his ugly eye.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one who thought to do that almost immediately. :P For added fun, I made a Phoenix Wright mii (it's not great but it'll do) and can now do Layton vs Wright...smash style. O:

I was kind of hoping this one would have had Eevee playable, given that we had a new Eeveelution in gen 6 and they seemed to really push that for awhile. I'm extremely happy that Eevee still made it in via Pokeball though, but a playable one would make me happy forever. :3 Definitely would be interesting in seeing how Eevee would operate, though!
