It's almost kinda sad. I probably had more fun using that glitch to explore random places on the overworld then I had actually playing the rest of the game. Fun glitch...

There's a way to get unusabe items to different buttons, like Farore's Wind outside of a dungeon. Then, use it to warp from Ganon after losing your sword!

There's a different way to do it

Yeah, you switch a useable item with an unusable one and use the unusable item in the couple frames it becomes usable. Another fun subglitch from this is using Farore's wind to give you free camera in places that restrict it.

Then again, maybe not.

So on the subject of glitches, is the swordless Link glitch still in? Ya know, the one where when you fight Ganon, you drop a fish, then recatch it, do a backflip, then play any weapon like an ocarina and warp away? That was always my favorite. Flying Link! There is nowhere he cannot go!
I swear, how did you even get the idea to even try this? It's a completely ridiculous chain of actions. I mean, drop a fish while fighting Ganon, recatch it, DO A BACKFLIP and than warp away? What were you doing anyways? How did it you think of those and more importantly, how did you memorize such a random pattern? 0.0
I mean, no offense at all. But I really wonder how people find glitches LIKE THIS ONE. (...and why, actually.)

The people who find glitches like this are usually those who have some understanding in how the code is run. If you know the mechanics behind the game it's easier to figure out how to abuse it.
Other times though, some people just do random crap and accidentally find stuff. The bottle transformation glitch in question works anywhere, not just in the ganon battle, though.

Some people find enjoyment in breaking a game as much as possible, be it for the amusement of seeing the game freak out, the interesting effects or for speed run purposes. (Be it a TAS or not.) I know I always find fun in glitching gen 1 Pokemon games. So much fun. XD
But more on topic, I've never actually tried that flying Link glitch before...Sounds like a fun time. XD

Yeah, and sometimes you don't exactly know what just happened the first time you see it. After several accidental glitches, you may try to figure out how to do it on purpose.
Also, the internet speeds it up, because people can report really obscure glitches and compare their findings. If you want another example of a really complicated series of actions required to cause a glitch, look up Twilight Princess back in time glitch on YouTube or Google.

Pfft how about reseiting the whole game of super metroid while keeping all your items?
It's possible, you just need to do the VAR beam glitch to have both spazer and plasma on the same time, while also firing it with the right beam combo in a tall enough room, leave the room, turn off the beam, go and save. The next time you start playing you will start from the very start but keep all your items. (Except normal missiles.) This means you can collect so many upgrades in theory that the game just downright breaks.
You don't keep normal missiles since the cut scene at the start of the game enables missiles and than resets the stat once the cut scene is done. THE MORE YOU KNOW!*

I remember seeing this guide to an extreme challenge on GameFAQs (that involved massive sequence breaking using certain glitches). Anybody tried that one in Master Quest? Or for that matter, anybody know if it works in OoT 3D? They might have fixed some of those glitches that made it possible.
It's impossible in master quest and I'm pretty sure impossible in the 3ds version. It required some insane stuff.
What I'm attempting is heavily based on that challenge but without the sequence breaking because it really adds nothing to the challenge as you have to do the same stuff anyways. So yeah, the room with the 3 stalfos in the forest temple. I hate it.

No other game in history has left me in such a strange mixture of satisfaction, confusion, and disappointment.
Satisfaction, because the graphics are pretty and give the game more of a sense of life than the original. The 3D was neat in some places, and the gyroscope aiming was easy to get used to. Which was good, cuz the circle stick aiming was horrendous. The game didn't feel dated, even though there were very few changes to the gameplay. It was, for the most part, as fun as I remember it, and perhaps more fun at times. And the inclusion of boss rematches was a very welcome one.
Confusion, because, instead of tweaking some things like maybe some minor changes to swordplay (for example, unsheathing the sword without swinging it or swinging while walking like TP introduced, but the DS games didn't have), they change the Stone of Agony to the Shard of Agony (an understandable change), but they change the Gerudo Membership Card to the Gerudo Token. Why was that necessary?
And, lastly, disappointment because, well, part of it has to do with the confusion bit above, and that's not making some at least minor gameplay tweaks besides fixing the boots issues (which was fantastic). But, also because I felt some parts of it were dumbed down. Sure, it was in a way that didn't really affect me, but how some areas were lit up to make things "simpler." For example, I noticed that the walls in the beginning Shadow Temple, the ones with a single skull in each square, had a different color skull if it was the transparent one. So the Lens of Truth ended up pretty much useless there. I suppose I didn't mind the lit-up portions of the Water Temple that guided you to the places where you could change the water level, but some of these "hints" went a little too far in my opinion. But, oh well, can't win them all.
Now that I'm done with my "review," it's really, really hard to say whether I'd recommend this or not. If you like gimmicks (that work I might add), pretty graphics, and a healthier menu system, go for it. If not, stick to the N64 version. I personally don't feel like I've wasted my time or money, but your mileage may vary. Test it out before buying, if you get the chance. Luckily I enjoyed it. And I hope to complete it 100% as well as the Master Quest mode, which was already confusing with its swapped Kokiri Forest, I felt like I was playing a different game almost.
