DiLemma: There's a slight issue with the last green tile. You have to step on the bottom half of the tile or the green tile won't register Link stepping on it. Knowing this you should be able to beat the challenge easily.

As for the low hearts... Might be I will make a minimalist run sometimes, not getting anything that isn't absolutely required. I did it in LttP, why shouldn't I do it with LI... Facing the final boss with 3 hearts and green tunic without the AWESOME arrows would be a great fun. Only the first part would be almost impossible. The ray beam parts would be quite challenging, but all other would be well possible. Using the boomerang and silver arrow well, even the final part would be possible.
I made even more speculations about Orlach... According to the few details that I know, it was created artificially when there already were life on the island. If Orlach was made by a powerful being, then it was by corrupting an already existing powerful soul (Some Link/Zelda by Ganon/Vaat?)i. But it's most likely that Orlach was made by the early oderrans with the Plague technology. A statue says "One shouldn't meddle with things that don't exist". So, Orlach didn't fully exist, but they experimented with this halfexisting being, one of the scientists was absorbed and so Orlach became an existing being. I'm also assuming that Orlach was always evil. I also have the feeling that the one with "W" starting letter in his/her life was female. Furthermore, Orlach lures Morvayn into the cave partially by a bird. Ornitology is the science of birds. So, "Orlach" refer for "bird"? The ending "lach" could mean "leech", since Orlach leeches souls. I could write a whole novel on the mater, but I'm starting to go into wild, loosely standing speculations, so enjoy your day.

It's fun even before Level 1, but if you go for mega satisfaction, beat Level 2 and then start to explore everything... It just gets even more great when you can travel through the wasteland...
Okay, thanks, I just wanted to make sure the whole quest wasn't like the beggining. (sp?)

Let's move on. Bhalstok castle. Why is it there? The Oderrans expected some attack? Or the castle was built first? Morlach seems like feared Bhalstok the most. Maybe it was estabilished for especially such domestic wars? A statue says that the Morachs' last stand was in the western forest. (Surely when every villager was murdered and Morlach started to kill Morachs.) However, that place doesn't seem like an easily defendable place... Plus, if Morlach REALLY killed all Morachs, then... 1: Whos are the current monsters and "officers"? 2: The 4 original Morach can't be the 4 bosses, since then they were killed, too. Furthermore, the diary in the village says that a big monster attacks the village... Morlach wasn't much bigger than the people... When I read that diary, I thought the monster was bigger than a house... Speaking of which, I loved the ending credit scenes... I wonder if there was somebody who escaped...
I LOVE speculating! Seems like LI lasts longer than just playing it til the end!

Well, the diary makes no mention 'what' is attacking the town, only that 'something' is. It could be a big monster or it could be many small ones. We simply don't know. But a scene in the ending credits suggests the truth in the matter.
The current 'officer monsters' are just that, things Morlach has specifically created himself. But he can only do so much from behind the barrier of the volcano seal. So he created the android and ordered a fortress built using Plague technology and having them build any army on their own. (why build one yourself when you can let your subjects do it themselves?) And had them experiment with portal and levitation technology as indicated by the sky garden in an attempt to make the island a mobile base.
Yes, after all the non-converted citizens of the island were eliminated, Morlach had no need for subjects such as the Morachs (who still had 'some sort' of free will) to be turning on him, so thus he killed them, and rose their undead bodies in his service. So yes, Morachs 'bodies' killed the remaining Morachs except those who fled beneath the caves of Bhalstok to where they tried conjuring evil demons of their own in futile efforts to combat their 'once perceived' savior. If you got the dragonscale shield, you would have seen what type of horrors they have been working with.

Edit: Never mind; I found the answer on an earlier page. Must have missed something in that 2x2 maze.
Edit 2: I looks like I was supposed to get the boomerang before coming here. Whoops.

I like a lot of the things you guys did with this. I know people complain cus they think it's hard, but it's just that, complaining. God forbid stalfos should actually do something besides sitting there screaming "FREE HEARTS AND RUPEES! COME GET EM!" The first boss could have been harder in fact, since respawning plants made for near infinite health. But challenge isn't as important as fun, and you guys nailed the fun thing.

Well everyone said level 1 was hard and it wasn't, so I dunno.
Not everyone thinks that Lost Isle is a hard game. It depends on who you ask.
Wolfie and I made the game challenging, or at least we tried, and some people have had major troubles trying to get through the game, but almost everyone who has played Lost Isle seems to have finished the game, so LI is definitely not too hard. It shouldn't be easy either, unless you are a very skillful player.
But if you think LI has been too easy so far, I can assure you that the last levels will give a good challenge to anyone, no matter how skillful you are. But as you said it, the most important thing is that the game is fun, and I completely agree. ^_^
