Just got the Biggoron's Sword before even completing the Forest Temple in master quest. You may now make your jealousy face in my general direction. I really like this game. Second best birthday present ever.

Uh, yeah, a lot of people already do that... they didn't really change anything other than the dungeons, y'know. I mean, c'mon, there was a time when I was co-oping the game with someone and he wanted to do the Forest Temple, but he was at work, so I went ahead and got Epona, Biggoron's Sword, 12+ Hearts, all the tunics, Iron Boots, etc... It's not that hard to get any of it before the Forest Temple.

As far as getting the Biggoron Sword, has anyone attempted it without Epona at all? If you do this, you'll need the Longshot though.

Yeah, I know. icon_razz.gif

It seems to be a bit trickier in Master Quest because in order to get to the blue fire you need to unfreeze King Zora, you need to either time a thrown bomb to explode in midair or waste a bombchu (and I really hate wasting those if there's another way).

Also, is it just me or did Master Quest make the water temple and fire temple easier/shorter?

Has anyone found a door of time skip in this version yet?

A massive amount of water temple goes unused in Master Quest iirc.

So I just beat Master Quest today. Is it just me, or does the game lag whenever you shoot Ganondorf with a light arrow? Like not just slight lag, significant lag. Like halved FPS lag.

Yeah it does that to me. Nintendo did say they wanted all those bugs/glitches (like the spinning around when you trigger a secert or entering Jabu Jabu as a adult.) to stay and rid the game stopping ones (Such as the lag I found annoying not game stoping through but kind of fun stopping.).

I find this just annoys me. The point of glitches is that you actually have to LOOK to find them. Not fixing this one was just the developers being lazy.

I still think link just turns in the one direction (assume clockwise for this example) to look at a item of importance (Such as a door opening in a cut scene) and if multiple things happen within the one cut scene with the first event happening slightly further clockwise then the 2nd item with links currently facing direction being slightly further clockwise then the first item of interest, link would do an almost full clockwise circle to look at the first item of interest then another almost full circle to look at the next item of interest creating the appearance of him circling around eternally during the cut scene.

No, that's not at all what's happening. He's spinning round and round, like a record player.

(and no one else will do)
And I, I've got to have my way now, baby
(and no one else will do)
And I, I've got to have my way now, baby
All I know is that to me
You look like you're havin' fun
Open up your lovin' arms
Watch out, here I come

You spin me right round, baby
right round like a record, baby
Right round round round
You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round

In all seriousness though, he literally spins around more than once, sometimes as much as up to five or six complete turnarounds. Most of the time it's just a door opening too, and not "more" things happening at once. It doesn't make any sense, and not fixing it is not a case of the developers "wanting to keep bugs for nostalgia", that is the worst excuse I have ever heard when it comes to bugs except for that time Ironfist pointed some bugs out in another quest. icon_razz.gif They were being lazy, there's no getting around that (like a record baby).

It's most likely the case that they just ported the game and added/removed to/from it rather than rewritting the engine. (As it was made in C IIRC.)

In which case it's no surprise that all the old bugs are still in it!

If you check the Iwata Asks interviews they talk about it and pretty much say it was re-written from scratch with the devs doing there best to show up the original developers while retaining the original feel of the game. They retained any and all bugs that didn't crash/corrupt game/save data as everyone at Nintendo liked the bugs and secret oddities present in the original game.

And yet they removed the Door of Time skip, which I'm pretty sure was one of the more well known bugs as well as IIRC, completely harmless.

Ah yes, the bomb jump...quite possibly the best glitch ever...

I guess I respect them for what they did leave in, though.

I find it kinda funny how they removed glitches that can corrupt data or screw the player over, yet if you turn Din's Fire into a bottle before entering the Shadow Temple, you're screwed.
