i see, thanks, ive solved all of these now, i figured out how to get those heart pieces (i had to fall from above the surface) and those obstacles can only be eliminated by pushable blocks/rocks, which is why the lens did not show anything. i now have 9 hearts, 6 magic containers, and 24 bomb capacity, and havent even done the 2nd dungeon yet icon_biggrin.gif the exploring is paying off.

i found and beat the manhandla and yes it was enough to make those arrow blocks pushable, i never woulda figured that out on my own though, so thanks...

however, what about the piece of heart that can be seen just north after beating the manhandla? i cant seem to figure out how to get that one, and ive explored death mountain pretty thoroughly.

Hm, you need to enter the caves somewhere north... Hm, not that north... in the crystal valley! Not in the middle one that leads to the portal and to the boss key, rather the one northeast from it. You see, if you go to the northeast corner an go west, you see a rock that you can superbomb. Go west, south and so you are on the mountain wall an need to crawl on vines and through holes. Go left, left, south to reach that enclosed crystal area. There go right and you see a campfire. Maybe you already saw it, just didn't know that you need to hookshot that. (after all, the hookshot can blast the wooden planks away) Go in the hole, pass a nice little challenge and the HCP is yours.
I like the amount of your collected things. I like when players explore. icon_thumbsup.gif

thanks, i actually had not been to that screen before, but had been to the crystal valley (i didnt think at 1st that i could go east from there because the path looked too narrow, lol i should have tried 1st). from there i was able to get it easily.

EDIT: remember how i said those 100-rupee-givers were infinite? well it seems the 1 rupee guy named rolo who is behind a bombable "hill" near the 100 rupee guy north of the windmill also gives infinite amounts of rupees, except only 1 at a time instead of 100 icon_razz.gif so its rather useless.

I beat Source of the Flow and got the heart container from the Zora King, but I wasn't listening when he said where to get the Zora's Sapphire. Whoops. So where is it?

he said to stand next to him, after you do that youll see he hands it out to you.

ok i now have 15 and a half heart containers, 9 magic containers (but it only goes up to 8 ) 40 bomb capacity, the blue mail, the fire shield, and slash and half magic, and im about ready to leave hyrule. i think i have found everything in hyrule except mabye a couple of heart pieces, because from other posts in this thread i have read people have managed 16 before leaving hyrule. it would be impossible for people to tell me which ones i missed though, and i heard theres more than 24 in the game anyways so i wont worry too much about whatever i missed. i did get the 6 dungeon ones though, and i cant remember anymore overworld secrets i saw with the lens that i forgot to come back to after getting the appropriate item.

if you wonder about me getting those 2 "ultimate secrets", i admit i sort of "cheated" to get the fire shield and blue tunic. not cheat literally, but i mean i peeked thru this thread with the search function to find discussions on them to see if i could find leads, because i did not want to miss them. so one could consider it "cheating" but since no one said DIRECTLY how to get them, i still had to do some work to finding them, i just had extra hints from old posts here thats all. im the kind of player who wants to make sure i get everything, and i know i cannot go back to hyrule once i leave it to get items i missed. anyways i will gladly admit had it not been for searching in this thread about the blue tunic and the fire shield, i NEVER would have found them on my own, and they are indeed EXTREMELY well hidden, so you did a very good job on making these items "secret"!

anyways, 1 question for you castchaos: can the bomb capacity pass 40 while still in hyrule, or have i found them all?

closure: so far this is a 5/5 quest, and the best one i have played in a long time! congrats icon_razz.gif

Okay, I am truly horrible at this game. Still in Garden Gallery. I have three keys, and the bow and arrows. I've gone down four corridors, but at the end of one, rather than a key, there was just a switch the moved some blocks out of the way. But, a few screen up and left from the entrance, there is a room with two crystals that you shoot to reveal a warp portal. but the hallways there is blocked. How do I unblock it? Also, when I try to unlock the lockblock in one corridor, it won't unlock! Is this a 2.5 bug, or is it supposed to work that way?

heh, i hope you have the lens of truth, its EXTRMELY helpful in this quest (more important than in any other quest ive played) because of the large amount of unusual triggers... if you wonder where the lens is, i dont wanna spoil but lets just say you can get it right after you got the hookshot, and its in an "early" area of the map. i strongly reccomend getting it before you leave hyrule though, as theres a good chance you wont be able to get it later.

anyways it is not a bug, i just beat garden gallery yesterday and that lockblock you have to bomb, as the lens would show.

as for that corridor, that is the one that leads to the boss key, and you need to have entered the portals at "terminal 1" and "terminal 2" to clear the way. i forget exactly how to get to these but the "black" rooms of the map are them, 1 is in the top right corner of 2F and the other is near the top left corner.

also in addition to my question about the max bomb capacity, i am also wondering about all those music notes ive seen scattered across hyrule... because you cant get the ocarina until you leave hyrule, and once you leave you can never return... so are those music notes for decoration or is there actually some significance to them (for example the one 2 screens to the left of the portal out of hyrule.) in o0ther quests playing the ocarina on such tiles usually triggers something, thats why i ask.

That house it at the east part of Kakarpolis. It's a big house. You need to give Ester a fish there when you enter the first time. Then go upstairs and go right. icon_arrow.gif

I'm just not good at this quest. In Terminal One, in the room with a door guarded by a bunch of spikes and switch surrounded by walls, what do I do?

That's the key maze. I mean one small part of it (the switch). You need to teleport to that switch from the south part of the key maze. From beginning of it (Ganon statue) go right and bomb the south painting (that has a bomb on it) this way you eventually get to a switch. Press it, go back to Ganon statue, go south, step in teleport and you are at the switch you needed to be.
If you are really not so Ice Wand at BB, I tell you that after you beat th last miniboss and get teleported to a small area, shoot the bug on the left. Soon you have access to the boss. Escaping from Hyrule never was this close to you! Maybe you get enough far to see with your own eyes that Myra isn't some traitor.

Thanks!

And now I have a few quick questions. How many bomb upgrades can I get in the Light World? I can hold 24 right now. That should be enough for me, but I just want to check.

Second, can you give me a few clues on where to find Magic Containers? I've only found two so far, and that's not nearly enough for me.

i want to know about the bombs too.... i left hyrule with 40 capacity and i wonder if theres some i missed.

also i asked before but i didnt get an answer, what about all those music notes all over the LW are those just for show? because as far as i know you cant get the ocarina in the LW...

magic containers... umm heres a few to get you started: 1 is hidden very well behind 1 of the trees in the far SW of death mountain, the steam systems area (the easiest one to miss in my opinion.) and i think 2 of them are in lake hylia, both are "comeback", meaning you could not get them the 1st time you went. i found a total of 9 magic containers so theres 1 extra that you can miss without being penalized, since the max is 8.

EDIT: as for the bomb upgrades i cannot remember where they were but a lot were hyrule field and death mountain secrets, and at least 1 was in kokiri forest too. also theres 1 easy-to-find one in goron city if i remember correctly. get the lens of truth and use it around hyrule to find the secrets, thats how i was able to get so many magic/bomb/heart upgrades. if you dont have the lens, just ask me and i can hint you to it if you want.

24 is quite good... I don't know how many bomb upgrades I scattered around. Maybe TheOnlyOne and such master players got 32 or even 46... All I can do is to name a few bomb upgrade places...
-center south Hyrule Field (hookshot)
-long chasm at Mt.Dead End (bracelet, super bomb)
-soutwest Kokiri Forest (true lantern)

Magic containers:
-Northeast of village, between stone lines. (bomb)
-Northeast of village, end of stone lines. (lantern, bomb)
-Northwest Hyrule field. (raft)
-Mt.Death, center south. (bomb)
-Northeast Mt.Death. (superbomb)
-Lake Hylia, far east. (crystal boomerang)
-South Lake Hylia, main island's edge. (arrow)
Maybe there's one or two more, I can't really keep track of what I place...

EDIT:

EPIC:
The ocarina marks are there simply because musical instruments exist. You can't get ocarina in light world, but the world doesn't revolve around Knil&Myra, at least not around both of them...
