I think Shoelace pretty well summed up how I feel on this issue. The only thing is I hope the "flood gates" aren't open for too many more third party characters. I'd much rather see a few new Nintendo characters like one of the Ray models from Custom Robo.

YES! Finally! Someone other than myself who wants a Custom Robo in Brawl! icon_w00t.gif

I've only played one Custom Robo game (Custom Robo Arena for DS), and I see many capabilities coming from making a Ray Model (my favorite is MK II, from SSBM's trophy) in Brawl. I know that in the series, Custom Robos are probably a foot tall, but it's easy to cover up for that by saying in the trophy description: "This popular Shining Fighter model has been custom built as a lifesize model to test its abilities with the best fighters from around the universe."

I mean, from Custom Robo Arena, you have a Pod (Up B), Bomb (Down B), Gun (B), and Dash (<-> B). And then its Final Smash can be Soulboost, where the Custom Robo turns gold. Heck, one of the Brawl stages could be a Custom Robo battlefield, too! Maybe it can rotate, so the characters get to fight around the stage, as well as across it (although the rotation will be from the battlefield, itself).

Wow I thought I was the only one. Heck I hadn't even thought of a battlefield stage but I think the idea would rock myself. The only thing is I'm at loss as to which Ray model I'd like to see though. Maybe Ray 01, MK II, or MK III?

And also, since my checklist on characters I know that is going to be on SSBB is narrowing down since Sonic is checked off. There is only one character on my list:

Olimar from Pikmin!

I know he will be in the game. How can you not have Pikmin in your game. Has Nintendo forgotten about Pikmin? I know that isn't the case. icon_razz.gif

Dude, that would be a ballin' assist trophy. I don't see him becoming a regular character because of the lack of actual combat, but imagine a swarm of Pikmin swallowing up your enemies!

I'm pretty sure Nintendo could make up a Pikmin-oriented moveset,though.

The Side special move looks complicated to perform, but looks very useful as an attack. I think classic Sonic fans can recognize the Down special move. It looks like it's one of Sonic's more powerful attacks, but it looks like a Rollout-type attack. In other words, missing the opponent might make you fly off the edge. I like the Spring Jump. Even though it's just a third jump, it looks more controllable than some other third jumps.

Heh. Imagine how many CDs will be available for Sonic's stage(s)... Will be interesting to see some Sonic-esque items in Brawl, as well.

I'd prefer that Knuckles be released as a playable character as well. Not as a freakin' assist trophy. Personally, I like Knuckles more.

It's been delayed to February 10.

Really, Nintendo, is an additional month and a half of development really necessary?

JoshSim, it could just be that they are adding more characters than anticipated? I dunno about you, but I definitely want it to be the most polished game, it looks SO good.

Is that not what they've done with all the moves they've shown? They've just shown us three and left us to think about what the last one could possibly be?

The problem is that the delay is too small to make a noticeable impact on the quality of the game. I can't imagine new features being added in at the last moment, much less new features important enough to delay the game out of the Christmas season. Unless they're having trouble with something. If so, issues about getting online play to run smoothly seem likely, but they'll never tell us that.

But I'm not too bothered by this. Mario Galaxy is the game I really want this year.
