As much as I don't support hacking (which, actually, I don't mind, as long as they tell me. It's their game, yadda yadda yadda), there is a slim possibility that Kyogre OHKO's Palkia, given that both are level 100, Kyogre is fully EV and IV trained in SA with a Modest nature and holding Choice Specs (if it's even possible), Palkia is completely devoid of any sort of training with a modest nature as well (probably has a major sweet-tooth), it's raining, and it's a critical hit, in which case, the maximum damage is 380, or 131% (if Palkia has no IVs in SD and HP), or 337, or 105% (if Palkia has 31 IVs in each). Used Smogon for this: Smogon Damage Calculator

Had a battle with Dawn Light today and lost one, and won one. Lots of fun!

If anyone wants to battle me, I'd be up for one on Sunday. Just no EV-trained teams. I play my Pokemon old-school style.

I'm up for fighting anybody. Just know my team ain't exactly "competitive". But I'd be glad to fight somebody, any time.

Well, I could battle you with my HG party, that's when I get Outrage onto Altaria and transferr them into White (which will take a while, since I have to comb up BP). My White party won't be situable because they will be EV trained (Aside from Samurott, Musharna and Volcarona to some extent), and I still haven't got my Hydregion or Weavile yet icon_biggrin.gif .

Well, if anyone wants to battle me, just find me in chat. My rule is no legendaries (including legal legendaries).

We're talking about battling each-other now? Okay, questions:

A) What constitutes "legendary"? Some people believe Wobuffet, Salamance, etc. also count as "legendary", so I just want an idea of what to expect.

B) How do you prefer to play in a Friend battle, 3 on 3 or the full 6 on 6? During Random Matchups it's always 3 on 3, so during Friend battles it's probably customary to use a more particularized lineup. So just want to know.

I define a "legal legendary" as Pokemon such as Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Latios, Latias, Mesprit, Uxie, etc.

Any battle will do. The reason why I only faced Zemoius twice is that we had connection problems.

I had a lot of fun too. I'd like to battle against all of you, however, I cannot give you a static FC as mine changes every time I load the rom. My pokemon are legal in terms of level, stats, moves and abilities so they don't one shot. I lost once to Dawnlight and won one.

Also, I have a Cloyster with it using Icicle Spear which has the ability to hit 5 times. The legal ability my Cloyster has is Skill Link which means it'll always hit 5 times in a row. I want the attack to have maximum effectiveness through damage, so should I go with "Ice Gem" or "Metronome"?

Metronome. Ice Gem is consumed after one use, so you basically do 550% damage (five hits + 50% of one hit). It's possible that Ice Gem would boost all hits, but I think it only works on the first. Generally I think consumables (other than certain berries) aren't good moves, because they only activate once, and then you're naked. Regardless, if you use it twice in a row, Metronome is the clear choice as shown below.

Metronome boosts by 10%+20%+30%+40%+50% for a total of 150%, so you basically get 650% damage. If you use Icicle Spear a second time, your damage is boosted 60%+70%+80%+90%+100% for a total of 400%, making 900% damage for the entire attack. Not bad.

Non-boosted Icicle Spear: 125 base power Ice attack
Ice Gem boosted Icicle Spear: 137.5 base power Ice attack
Metronome boosted Icicle Spear (first): 162.5 base power Ice attack
Metronome boosted Icicle Spear (second): 225 base power Ice attack

Oh for sure, but since that effect is constant regardless of the item boost, I chose to not calculate it.

It's now officially Spring in the game! Something of note is that you can re-fight Cynthia at the same location you first found her during Spring months. You can fight her once a day, so it makes for a nice bit of bonus EXP.

It depends on if you're running Shell Smash or not. With it, a Life Orb would be your best bet, since it'll take a while for a Metronome to reach a LO's level of boost, and Cloyster usually doesn't show up to sweep until late game, when there's a good chance the other guy will only have 1-3 mons left. If you aren't running Shell Smash, throw a Choice Scarf on so Cloyster will actually be able to outspeed a decent amount of the better mons.

I've decided not to run with Choice items anymore because of how dangerous it is. I may run with Life Orb however, I've been considering it for awhile now.
My Cloyster has Skill Link and Icicle Spear/Rock Blast and a few other moves. Hence why I have metronome. icon_razz.gif
I need to get an item for my smeargle that protects against moves like Sandstorm.
