He shouldn't Struggle unless he's used the PP for all of his moves. Not just roar. :B
I know, but if that's all he's using now, then that's all he's got left. I have been fighting him before, so yeah, he's probably just down to Roar.
You're forgetting Groudon!
This guy is the last legendary (that I will concern myself with) and he's impossible! He uses Roar like right after I start throwing Pokeballs! What a loser!
No, I'm not

I've only got Ho-oh and Suicune so far, but I've got the event Arceus and Jirachi, and got Giratina with Arceus, In addition, I traded over all the unobtainable legendaries from Platinum, to get a full Pokedex.
And now I'm at Blue. he's the only Kanto gym leader who's given me a real challenge. And it's only that stupid Machamp that's tough. It's like a repeat of my troubles with Bruno. Except now there's an even bigger level gap, since I've barely leveled up in Kanto! Oh well, I'll beat him eventually..
In case you're wondering, my current team:
Fritz the Typlosian, level 44
Lucky the Togekiss, level 42
Scout the Ampharos, level 44
Roll the Sandslash, level 42
Blade the Scizor, level 44
Ness the Lapras, level 44

Well, Raikou is the ONLY dog I have caught, but also have Lugia. I think it was just the luck of the draw. Entei is doing the same thing to me that Raikou is doing to you though GC. I feel your pain and extreme frustration. I do wish you the best of luck though on catching the stinker.
And to you, sir. It is extremely painful and frustrating because you have to chase them all around Johto. What I do (I don't know if this is sort of like a 'duh' thing to some of you, but I'll share anyway) is wander back and forth between two different routes and check the map periodically every time I switch routes to see if either of the dogs are on the current route. Otherwise, it's just fly from town to town, which takes forever and rarely ends up in your favor.
So you're not even going for Groudon. Lame.

Eh... Mayhaps. I'll concern myself with defeating Red first. I just want to get Raikou out of the way so that I can teach PRFCT HAIR something other than Mean Look. Not that it isn't helpful, but trainers don't run away from battles, so I don't need it after I catch that dumb dog.
Say, would you mind letting me borrow that event Arceus so I can do stuff? I'll give it back
But not now. I must catch Raikou.
Blue was kind of a let down for me, honestly. He was like all of the other trainers. But yes, like you, the only thing that gave me trouble was his Machamp... Hm. Come to think of it, I always have trouble with fighting Pokemon.
I'd give a team update, but my DS died and my charger is in a different town.

Anyways, right now, I'm working on evolving Bulbasaur and Squirtle for their Pokédex entries, but I think I decided that I'd replace Gyarados with Blastoise eventually... That's gonna take some time: Gyarados is level 100.

Non sequitur!
I completely forgot you were going for a shiny Lugia. Imagine though, finally getting one and then failing to catch it... Like you hit it just a little too hard, or it got confused and fainted itself... I'd never turn on Pokemon again

I have yet to catch any of the dogs. Since my Lugia thing ended in failure (I wasn't patient enough to not continue the game for weeks just for a shiny Lugia), I plan to soft reset for Suicune. Will probably catch the dogs soon though. Haven't ran into them since I got my 6th badge though. I think they're mad at me.

You know, there's an event that will give away one shiny dog in Japan right now, and it's coming out here soon. A shiny Suicune won't be so incredibly then. Go for something else, like a shiny Articuno or something.
Edit: Post 1,000 in this thread!

Eh, agreed, for the most part. Besides, what good are shiny Pokémon for, anyway? They don't boost stats or give you anything, do they? So really, other than looks, what's the point.
It's fun to find them. I freaked out when I found my shiny Stantler. And some shinies (especially Lugia) look awesome. Plus, if you've already caught them all, and are still bored, you can try to catch shinies of them all. I doubt anybody's ever done that without cheating.

It wouldn't be possible in one game to catch all shiney pokemon... I wonder if someone has done that though? I think Nintendo should have a million dollar prize for whoever can do this first. I'd bet you a million dollars the guy who'd win it would have a neck beard
