And there are some things I love being wrong about and one of them is that DHD is over powered. The roster seems really well balanced, probably as good as Melee (let's hope). Lucario is looking to be the best right now. Hopefully this game proves Brawl was just a fluke.

Been playing Classic Mode a fair bit and unlocked a few characters, most importantly Lucina. She might actually become my main, I like the way she plays and feels. I'll have to keep playing to unlock characters and stuff and try out other modes when I have time. Might just take it to work and play it on breaks and stuff tonight and tomorrow, then I'll have more time to goof around and do whatever. Enjoying it so far!

So far, my favorite characters are Rosalina, Zero Suit Samus, and Greninja. I like Mega Man as well, but his moveset is a bit jarring.
As for least favorite, I've gotta say, I'm not really liking Little Mac. He's pretty much restricted to the ground, as his aerial attacks are pitiful. That just doesn't sit well with me. I'm the kind of player that likes to play volleyball with my opponent as the ball, and it's incredibly difficult to do that with Little Mac. I'm sure I could get good with him after some practice, but as of now, he's my least favorite new comer to play as.
Also, how come most of the new comers are available right from the moment you boot the game up, and veteran characters take up most of the unlockables?? Not that I'm really complaining.

Probably so that veteran players can play as some of the new characters and not have to play so much with the characters that they know about already so much to unlock the new characters, as they kinda know what to expect with the veteran characters.

Waiting to play with my best friend. She's getting the game, and we're having a sleepover to play together all night. Talk about an amazing night!!

Palutena looks like she's going to be my main. Lots of fun to play as her. Rosalina looks like fun too, but I still have to get a good grasp on how to play her decently. And I'm still sticking to Marth, since I've been playing him since Melee. >_> I've yet to try a good chunk of the roster though, so it's hard to say how things'll play out exactly.

-Smash 64 had 4 unlockables, on which only 1 was a clone, and even many people didn't expect Luigi to be actially playable. But holy shit, Captain Falcon and/or Ness? In the game? That was a surprise.
-Melee had 11 unlockables, most of then being mere clones of starter characters (Falco, Young Link, Roy, Pichu), yet being able to play as Ganon, Mewtwo or Game & Watch was very cool, and the natural step in the series (first the protagonists, now the secondary and villain characters). Falcon and Ness were also starter characters, such expanding the available potential for new chars. Non-japanese players were also introduced to the Fire Emblem series.
-Brawl had 14 unlockables (iirc), but again most of them were very similar to other characters. This time the differences were bigger and easier to see, although not to the point to declone the chars. But Falcon and Ness were downgraded to the unlockables' list. Some of the unlockables were Melee veterans that everybody expected them to return (Ganon, Falco, etc). And many of the key newcomers (Wario, Pit, MK, Snake, Sonic) were either announced too early or just heavily promoted, leaving the less popular characters (Toon Link, Wolf, R.O.B.) to remain secret and unlockables.
-Nearly all of the Smash 3DS newcomers are available from the beginning, with only the new retro character being the big surprise here, because nearly every other unlockable is a veteran, some of them having been an unlockable for the third consecutive time (I mean come on, look at Luigi, he hasn't been a surprise since Melee). This hurts one of the biggest appeals I found in Smash, which was to discover the wonderful secrets and being excited for the newcomers, because when you already know the list what's the point? There was nothing like finding out Ganon or Game and Watch were playable back then in Melee. And it's not like there weren't leaks back in the days, even Smash 64's final roster was leaked, and in this modern online era you can still remain ignorant about the leaks if you want.

Best strategy with Little Mac really is to not ever jump. Many people have said this who've been playing since the Japan release. The problem with Little Mac is you'll find situations where he's overpowered and some situations where he's useless. Someone brought up how you can just stand on a platform on Battlefield and Little Mac can't do like anything to you. Then Little Mac has a HUGE advantage on all the Final Destinations where it sucks to be anyone else against him..
As for me, I'm waiting for the Wii U version. I've been watching various streams on Twitch still in the meantime.

5 more secret characters left to unlock.
The final fight on Classic Mode in 7.0 intensity or higher was insane! I was not expecting that trick.
