Have a screen:

Looks great, Furion, but I still don't like the mountains in the second shot.

And I'm glad that over the years I have improved on my works; I understand the mountains seem...iffy.
However, your moutains are unique, as they are beautifuly designed. Though, they style clash heavy, at least unsing the palette. Honestly, the saturated green and gingerbread brown do not mix. I suggest using another palette.

Another note, the shading and outlines style clash, too. The mountains have a more pixelated, rough appearence, contrast to the outlined palms.

That's right, I made brown the new purple.

I understand what you're saying, but this palette is cset cycling, so the brown changes from dark to light and so do the ocean colours. Sadly cset cycling is so limited that I can't make all colours change. So I took it on a moment when the brown colours are light. I'm quite content with the actual palette in action.

Also, I agree that those palm trees don't fit in, but I can't find any better ones, sadly. If you got some suggestions, go ahead.

Now, what you got there is truly interesting. Looks fantastic. I'd change those bushes to have the flowers on them more spread though (right now, the flowers are only of the left side of the bush, looks funky).

Certainly. You are familiar with Peteo's Palm Trees, no? At the moment, I believe there are no DoR palettes, however, I would be willing to recolor and edit them to 'fit' in.

You may take a look here.

Hm... those palm trees don't really fit the perspective, I think, so it might be a loss of your time to recolor it for me. You ever thought about finishing that tileset though? It looks really great and I probably want to use it for a quest of mine.

The actual screen I made a while ago. The mountain graphics are new though.
...I am aware of the style clashing going on here. That's probably going to be a temporary thing, given that I'm going to be redrawing most of the graphics to be more outlined/generally fit in with the custom tiles and whatnot I've made already.

Best. Classic. Screen. Ever. I love the layout and the environment. Wow I'm impressed.

All you did was make a mediocre screen worse, by cluttering it up. I'd revert back to the old one if I were you.

I agree, honestly. The detail on the second screen is cluttering and quite ugly. I'd revert back to the old one (which is just mediocre).

That's not Classic, bro. The only thing that's even Classic Set on that screen are the characters. Detail, mountains, bushes and the building all don't belong to the Classic set. I'm curious, though, did you draw those mountains or rip them from somewhere, Pheonix?

Man, for something that is effectively a dead-end screen, that's a ton of praise. Thanks.

And yes, I drew those mountains. I might actually release the tileset that this quest is eventually going to end up producing, but for now I kinda want to keep them (and the other set(s) I've drawn/will draw) to myself until I'm at least much more into the process of redrawing stuff.

Then how do I make the old screen higher in quality if it's that bad?
