I died once on Ghirahim, and twice to skulltulas in the first dungeon. (I finally beat that dungeon! icon_biggrin.gif) The skulltulas were the ones attached to the web in that one room. I figured there was something I wasn't doing right so I tried all kinds of things to try to beat them. After the second death, I figured maybe there was a way around or that the item of the dungeon would let me pass them.

Now I plan to do some running around and find some goodies before the next dungeon.

So after completing the Temple of Time, i will have to say this game has become one of my favorite Zelda games of all time. It's just so damn fun and so fresh. Now i'm going to try to do sidequests and get the 2nd propeller to enter the Light Tower in Skyloft.

I've yet to die, but I've been close several times. Which is good enough for me. Scaldera almost did me in, except I had that convenient fairy.

Overall, I'm really loving the game so far, it's probably going to be my personal favorite out of the series. I just wish Fi would learn to shut the hell up for half the game. Also snippet on how the third temple is the best temple ever.

So guys, overall impressions? I hear that this has potential to dethrone some of the earlier Zelda games as being best in the series.

Hm..Overall impressions...hm... I would say, this game has replaced,"majora's mask" in my #1 favorite Zelda game, the game is just amazing, Nintendo really outdid them self, on this game, It'll probable be remembered for a long long time, as the best Zelda game ever made icon_smile.gif.

One thing I believe is worth noting is that Nintendo changed a lot of the basics of how items and meters work. The "pouch" idea provides an additional way in which players can choose how best to ready themselves for the next area, rather than JUST choosing what to put in the bottles. Shields work in a more realistic way, even before noting the changes to controls. You now save at statues rather than anywhere you want (not to fear, though; the statues are plentiful and even appear inside dungeons). The way you access the overworld, and the entire sky to explore for that matter, are totally new. Outdoor areas are less linear and more expansive, but not totally empty.

And lastly, I'm really liking the graphical style. It's not quite as cel-shaded as I originally thought. Pretty much everything about the visuals has an even dose of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess influence, with a fun and unexpected Impressionist style to it. icon_smile.gif This is a Hyrule I can believe in.

My only tiny reservation is that apparently it isn't possible to walk between all the areas without returning to the clouds. This merely makes the game feel more like an RPG, particularly Skies of Arcadia (which can be compared to this game in a large number of ways). On foot or not, SS has adventure in spades.

So anyway: yes, so far it definitely has the potential to dethrone (insert your favorite Zelda game here) as the best in the series. icon_smile.gif There's still a lot for me to play, but I have been enjoying it thoroughly.

According to a guy this game here doesn't look great. LOL, you heard me, that guy is comparing graphics over the whole game.

C'mon I want my copy just an hour now!

Shane, don't bring yours and Yishidudes stupid fights into public topics. Whatever you two are going through, deal with it in PMs. Dragging it into an innocent forum is just wrong.

I don't want another word on the subject. PM me if you want to.

Also, if people aren't free to have a rational mind and have their own opinion, well I'll be damned to what this world has come to.

Shoo-bee-doo-bee-doo!

Everyone's getting mad.

We should start talking about Skyward Sword again IMO instead of drama involving Yoshidude.

Just my opinion though, I'm no mod. I can't give warnings. I just don't want the thread to get needlessly locked.

Okay if you guys start a fight I'll start posting spoilers!!!

No but really, don't start anything here. Shane, knowing who your comment was about, it was kind of a jerk move to say something like that here for the purposes of mocking or insulting them; you shouldn't have made the comment at all. Keiichi, no need to counter-call him out while rent-a-modding in the process.

Seriously, take a step back and relax. We don't need another Zelda thread going up in smoke over some petty argument. Again. I agree that if there's a problem, take it to PM, leave it off the boards. Which should have been done in the first place.

As you were, people.

No, It's okay. I didn't want to derail the topic, but family has to stick up for family.
No more drama, I promise icon_wink.gif

As for the game, I've been watching walkthroughs and this game looks so flipping AWESOME!
It also has so much emotion.

Not getting into detail, but the dialog between Zelda, Groose, and Link just adds a real-life feel to it.
Love triangle going on!
