Submitted for SOTW #524. Decided not to make a new screen, but to use one I'd already created which highlights the mechanics of my final dungeon (which requires you to switch the time of day inside the dungeon to progress).
Also, for those of you keeping track- 400th post.

Once again, we're short two entries for the next contest. If you could submit some shots, that would be great. ![]()

You could... but then we'd already know the winner, so would there be a point in having the contest anyway? ![]()

Submitted an old, old, old screenshot from a quest I never finished that was created 9 years ago. (Yes, that's how long I've been tinkering around with Zelda Classic.) Finding it buried in my files almost makes me want to go back and complete it. Except for the lack of a name... or story... or the fact that the only thing which has been designed in it is about half of the overworld. Maybe someday... Looking forward to the other entries!

I admit, when the caption said it was from "2006," I didn't think "nine years old." Wow, time flies.

The only reason I know how old it is was because the file tells me when it was made. For the longest time, I thought that I had completely lost all traces of this quest. There's a lot of things in the design that I like and a lot I'd change if I was to go back to it again. This was only the second quest I tried to make and my first experiment at creating areas with different palettes on the world map.
It's hard for me to believe I've been working with this program for that long too... and this file could have been lost when my old computer died back in 2009, but thanks to my uncle's ingenuity all of my Zelda Classic files were salvaged. This quest had sat dormant on that system for 3 years before that and 6 more on the new one before I thought to myself; "I wonder if my backup files had copies of my unfinished quests?"
Now, I know the answer.
Maybe someday, I'll also get around to fixing some of my brother's quests which I've preserved from that era so they're actually playable...

Hello everybody,
We need at least one more shot before we can begin Screenshot of the Week 528 on time. If you have a spare shot lying around, go ahead and send it in! Or maybe there's a screen in your two-week quest you're especially proud of? Either way, please submit before Sunday evening.
Thanks! ![]()
