it worked but not exactly like it suposed to be

i just renamed the quest file qst DoY2012RC4 to DoY2012RC3

and it says RC3 but its really RC4

Yep, the quest file is now only for RC4. If you find a bug that's in the engine, and not in the quest, (Though do report either...) please post it. The bug can't get fixed if you don't post it.

mmm... still got those crashes... but first I'm conducting a full review to my system just in case

Well .. after to many doing and undoing .. finally I screwed up this computer ...
Is no the first time and this is no a last time,, though
ordered another PC and is on its way , can't blame this one for all those bugs.. I'm no sure
hope I can play Doy RC4 a little better on this new one ...............

If you download CCleaner (A great program on its own; good to have.) it'll tell you most of your stats at the top of the program while it's running. Or "PC Wizard" can do that too.

Mostly operating system counts, I guess. What Windows do you have? ... and will you have soon ...

Thanks you're a nice fellow , my actual pc with windows XP was OK, til I decided to put a new video card
thought may get a super display , that thingy thing"" super-over heated, so badly ,I almost call the fire Dpt!

the one coming today is a dell optiplex with windows seven, high memory (2gb) and a big Hd 500 gb or so
even this sound better than my other one.. was a lot cheap though

Whoah. Well, the L3 sword is the red and yellow flashy sword. There are pleeeenty of posts in this thread talking about it, actually. You need the flippers, the Dream Whistle, and courage to get it. Oh and the gall to swim in a fountain.

The level 4 sword is attainable once you have the L2 Gauntlet from Blester Tower, a Super Bomb, and the Mirror Shield. I think it's near the Gorons.

the one im looking its the level 4 sword i got the miror shield , s bomb and gold gaunlet
i still have not beat matathon its really hard and i need at least that level 4 sword
you said its near gorons , in the gorons cave, outside , i try to search and nothing i found

Ah, my apologies. It has nothing to do with Gorons. The area is south--southwest of the Excavation, in the swamp. There's a dark gray rock in the bottom-left corner that you have to push. Get in there, and two screens east of where you arrive, look reeaaally hard at the sandy floor. Have that super bomb handy.

and it still not easy the marathon level but i dont give up

those green wizzards are a pain

i beat marathon it was very hard but fun
especialy when i try to find the boss key it was really hidden but i was clever
the boss it was easy thanks to the level 4 sword

i am really close to finish this game
im up to the gold tunic i heard its in excavation ruins but im stuck

In that screenshot on the bottom, use your hookshot to latch onto the block to the left of the chest. If it doesn't work, let me know. I'm not sure if there's enough room for it. It works in some versions and not in others. I can provide a fix for it if it doesn't have enough room to activate.

In the room above the first screenshot, there's a block in the lower left you can push.

The Hall of Statues is in the Deku Jungle. The main entrance is 5 screens south of the top of the map, 4 screens to the east of the west side of the map. If that makes any sense.

well i dont even have to use a hookshot

i cross with the ladder and that warp warps you to the begining
i searched every corner on excavation ruins and theres nothing more to explore
i even manage to get to basement 3 excavaton ruins and theres nothing more to explore
i missing red candle ( if that exist ) and i really dont see that i need it
and the gold tunic i dont know where it is



i found hall of statues that its on deku jungle i still have not explore that yet
then i manage to found deju tree?? is that supose to be the last dungeon , why i can get to there

I believe the Deku Tree will be enterable once you defeat the Statue Boss in the south-east of the Hall of Statues. There's also a shortcut in the cliffside in north-west Deku Jungle, but that is unlocked by .. oh I don't even know. DMap Level numbers are weird. The whole event system in pre-2.5 ZQuest is weird.

Oh, there definitely are some good items in the Excavation. If you're looking at tan walls, there's barely anything there. Almost nothing. If you're looking at green walls, then that's where you get the Golden Arrows and the Red Candle. It's just tough to navigate around there.

One of the rooms in the middle of the first floor of F-1 Excavation has a secret wall in the west wall. Bring some relics. If you find a lot of Super Darknuts, you're on the right track.
