My suggestion would be give Final Fantasy 4 a play through.
That is one of the best Final fantasy's Besides Final Fantasy 6 (Aka Final Fantasy 3 on SNES).

Hmm, which version? SNES, GBA, or the DS remake?

I personally enjoyed the art style to the DS version, but it's different enough from the original to consider it an entirely different game, albeit with the same storyline. I believe that the GBA version would be your best bet, as I think it has some bug fixes from the original or something like that. Don't hold me to it, though. The only version I played other than the DS version was the PlayStation port several years ago, and even then I lost interest and used it entirely for Chrono Trigger. I actually managed to beat that one before returning it to my cousin.

Well... I would recommend the SNES version over the other two because its the original version.
But I will say I loved the GBA version. it added the ATB gauge's and made item management better, and had some bonus stuff like dungeons, etc.

So pretty much its hard to say which is better but I would say the SNES one is better since its not on a hand held <.<.

I started another game alongside Metroid Prime last night. I'm still working on my RPG, and am looking through some of the more popular RPG Maker games to try and study things like map design and such. I started up one called "Balmung Cycle", and I can see why it's liked so much. I was impressed by the map design after just the first two rooms of the first outdoor area of the game! It also introduces an interesting concept where the game is littered with three different levels of locked treasure chests and locked doors, and you can only open each one after finding a key made of matching material, and even then, you can only use each key once. You know that bit near the end of Chrono Triggger when you get the ability to open sealed treasure chests, and how you felt knowing that all that stands in your way to getting a bunch of awesomely powerful equipment is your memory of where these chests were located? The entire game feels like this every time you obtain a key.

The only thing I don't understand is that a lot of the time, the game will glitch up and you can't play it anymore until you restart it. I was inside the first cave, when suddenly the movement keys stopped working, and I had to pause the game to force the character to warp to wherever he would have been standing had the controls not screwed up. It happened about four times in one play session, although I do admit I played it for a fairly long length of time in one sitting. It's made in RM2k3, so does anybody know why it does this, and if there's a fix for it?

If you're gonna play Final Fantas IV play the PSP version. It's in the downloadable game shop. If it's your first time playing switch the music to Original for an awesome feeling. Some scenes involving Cecil will use the GBA version of Cecil's theme for whatever reason in original mode.

Don't own a PSP. Don't plan to get one anytime soon.

Still playing Oracle of Ages. Currently in Jabu-Jabu's Belly and in the process of obtaining the Boss Key.
Also beat Kirby's Adventure (3DS Virtual Console) and worked a little bit on my playthrough of Super Mario Sunshine over this time.

Shinjiro's Social Links were just awesome. Especially in the one where he made a banquet.

Do not get the GBA version. It's buggy. Get a PSP trust me. Kain's Jump takes too long, ATB is a mess, etc on the GBA.

I didn't notice any of those bugs, I have the GBA version and I thought it was remastered quiet well.

That's what you get for calling him a peabrain. Remember to equip element-boosting cores. It makes one hell of a difference in battle. Wait until you get the runner spell and the ability to teleport to enemies. Very useful for cancelling enemy attacks. Also, you'll probably agree that Ulf is an annoying, useless character.
