Plus I noticed this thread needs a little wake up call, it's been a few days since anyones posted something. Hopefully this gets people going!
Edit: Robin, the colors are a part of link, whether it's his colors you're talking about it's STILL part of link. I wont be changing the colors. Link will stay exactly how he is. Hell, I wont even add rings, he will stay green the whole game. If that keeps you from playing the quest, that's fine with me. I do things my way, sometimes I will take advice, but more often then not, I leave things how I intended them to be. Thanks for the feedback though!

Calm down there cowboy, I didn't say anything about not playing the game simply because Link looks bad
I understand where you're coming from as well! You're not the first to comment on Link. I've actually changed the colors once, but this is the best I could come up with. I'm not very good with palettes and stuff. I was thinking of using the Minish Cap Link, though I forgot why I didn't. I think it had to do with lack of tiles. This GB Link has a ton of tiles for different things, so my mind was set on it once I set it up.
Edit: Here is the screen they are referring to, so you don't have to go back to the previous page:

Can anyone help me in improving these maps I've made? I don't know why but I'm not comletely happy with the overworld map so far and I would like some advice on how to improve it (sorry about the colours, the map viewer will only show 1 cset at a time...)
Overworld (Forest and Mountain areas use the Mysterious woods and Lybrynna Past csets, the rest of the areas uses the Summer cset)
Overworld
Dungeon 1 (Pits are scripted and the teleporters link to each other (2nd teleporter is in the room with the unlit torch). The room 2 rooms to the right from the enterance is no longer used now due to the pits now being scripted)
Dungeon (Forest Ruins)
Thanks for any help!
Hey Mudkipz,
I didn't see your post(s) until today.
I looked at both maps. Without playing the quest, I can only comment on the tiles/combos used.
On your overworld, I think the logs that Link walks through should have a shadow or something else other than bare ground underneath them.
In your dungeon, I would advise to do something to your passageways so that they're not just a wall ending with no edge. At least put a black border at the walls edge. Personally, I would create tiles of a doorway with a shadow underneath it.
Franky,
I think it's a nice screen; pretty cool if it's where Link enters the Dark World! Looks like Link can go north and west when he first arrives and then later gets the power glove and hammer.
I think the colors look great for the Dark World. Link just might look bright because the Dark World is darker. I don't see a problem with that.

Working with DoR again, starting up my next quest. Might as well, because I'm unmotivated for

Don't worry, I only make sure I get rid of things I'll NEVER need, and I keep myself clean.
