I can't decide which one I like the best, TS. I think maybe I have to lean towards the first, which I'm assuming is the US one. I like the other for its colors but Link's pose looks weird to me. Yeah actually I just decided, the one where he's got his back to us is my favorite.
I've long since lost my interest in almost everything that is Nintendo, and have even been for the most part skeptical over this game. But this trailer in my opinion turned out to be truly amazing. I am sold on this game for sure. It's unfortunate I'm not the least bit sold on the Switch, especially with its unacceptable prices. I don't anticipate I'll be playing this for a couple of years, at least until the system is at a much fairer price.
This trailer was spectacular. I've been looking forward to the game myself but none of the trailers we've seen really grabbed me, it was more about what we actually saw of the game for me. Yesterday's trailer was really really cool though, I think it's gonna be hard for any Zelda fan not to be at least a little bit excited about this. Heh.

You're missing my point then. You were talking about how deep you think the characters might be and stuff, and while I think it's fair to be excited (that trailer was awesome), we just haven't really seen anything along the lines of character development,
I'm just saying, seeing Zelda erupt into tears and fling herself into the arms of Link with such detailed and beautiful animations unlike anything we've ever seen in a Zelda/Nintendo game, alongside other clips, makes me feel she's going to be incredibly important to the game's story (moreso than just a damsel in distress) and will have a lasting impression on me.

And that is a statement I can agree with, based on what we have seen it certainly would look like they're gonna have a bigger focus on dialogue and cutscenes compared to older games. The trailer actually gave me a very distinct Disney animated movie-feel to it, and if they follow through on that this could be a really fresh take on the characters. Emphasis on could, but I'm hopeful!

When (who I'm assuming is) Zelda burst into tears, and falls into Link's arms is pretty much the exact emotion I felt when I heard this game was a launch title, and it was coming sooner than expected. Just under 7 weeks. That's only 48 more days. This game looks so promising. The attention to detail is supurb, and I literealy teared up during this whole thing. It was a little embarrassing, cause I convinced my parents to watch it with me.
And can I talk about how much I love (who I'm assuming is) Zelda's new design? It's easily my favorite so far. She looks like a real person, and like someone who lives in a world, and not like a McGuffin come save me goal post. I'm glad they dropped the pink dress shtick, Link's art has also grown on me a lot. I remember during the initial reveal, I did not like his new design, but I didn't comment on it. I like it now, and I'm still not ruling out getting his classic garb, probably late game at some point.
Overall, I'm more hyped than I ever was, and I can't wait. Also, Gorons are back. Gorons are awesome. It also looks like, during the combat montage, Link is fighting some sort of Sheikah Knight/ Ninja. It also kind of looks like the Master Sword is at the base of the Deku Tree. And there are Koroks floating around it. Hnnnnng It looks so cool, well animated, polished, and fucking great. I Need it.

US vs UK box art.
The box art on the right is too chill, Link's just hanging out on a peaceful day. I love the left art.
Also, I'm betting that Goron saying "Here it comes!" is just giving Link a mini-game reward.

This game is being released on my birthday. Neat.
The voice acting didn't made me cringe, in the trailer at least. Hoping the overall voice acting is good or at least decent. Last, no talking Link, please.

When (who I'm assuming is) Zelda
Just FYI, She is confirmed to be Zelda via some amiibo announced on the official site. There will be an amiibo of her too now it seems.

(On the downside, it's been confirmed these and the Wolf Link amiibo standalone (NA) will be more expensive than the previous amiibo which is kind of dumb.)
US vs UK box art.
Guess I'm the only one who likes the UK one more then.

In the UK box art, wtf is Link doing holding his sword sheath away from his body weirdly!?
Posted 14 January 2017 - 02:40 AM
Looks like the end's planted on the ground. Although good point, why is his sheath detached from his back?
Posted 14 January 2017 - 05:44 AM
I guess it could be a wooden sword?

Rusty Broadsword? ![]()

Really weird choice of sword to use for boxart though... Anyways, I personally prefer the UK boxart, much more colourful and looks more alive to me.
Also still trying to convince myself that the game's just two months away.
