Looks just awesome, one of the best DoR things I have seen so far, only wonder how Amy fits in there.

The white roof lacks detail compared to the other two and the many fences next to each other look a bit odd.
Also the houses position to each other disturbes me in a way I cannot grab, but that is a thing limited to seeing them altogether on the map.

Amy won't fit there because this is actually something else I've been wanting to do for a while and she's not going to appear here at all  :P

I personally don't see anything wrong with the fences and the position of the houses honestly, but I do get what you mean with one lacking detail with the other. I'm just going for variety and there aren't that many house tiles in this tileset from what I've found. Just gotta work with what I got I guess lol

Edit: Went ahead and changed the fences anyway to make things look more neater.

I like the organization you've got here. Only thing I'd highly recommend is that you mess with your trees a bit, mix them up, layer them, etc. What you have here looks too ordered and unnatural. Trees don't grow in neat little rows like that Other than that, though, it's very nice.

I like it! There's no such thing as too much classic. I agree with what Binx said though. Make the trees a bit more disorderly and you'll be good to go.

I'm really liking DoR Hybrid and it's actually a lot easier to use than I originally thought lol

Hallelujah! Finally, somebody who understands the truth behind DoR Hybrid!

That's an awesome map Eddy! However, one suggestion I have for you is to revise the fences you have in the center. I dunno, they look a bit awkward the way you organized them. But overall, 10.1/10, would play again.

Have already worked on the fences and fixed it all up from the previous criticism. Thanks though and I'm glad you like it! :D

That's a whole lot of trees. :P

Overall it is a good map, though it could use more variety between screens.

I really like the way you used the tileset and the trees, and the net effect is very nice. That said, I do have to agree with Homura; a lot of the individual screens seem very similar to each other. It's not necessarily a bad thing. You just need to plan out secrets, enemy layouts, etc in such a way that the player won't go "Ugh, another useless forest screen," and grow tired of it.

Personally, i don't think it's bad, at all. It's very forested, yes, but I don't see how that is a problem, given that it's obviously only a small part of the overworld.

Deep within the Shadow Desert, a forgotten castle lay dormant... except for the monsters within!

*Spoiler alert: this is level 2 of Outlands DX. If you don't want the level spoiled for you, don't look!*

Well, it's not finished (obviously), but the design is actually visually inspired by the descriptions of Menzoberranzan, in Forgotten Realms. I'll be adding in a mushroom grove, a school for fighters, a school for mages, a thieves' guild-type location, as well as a few houses, and a small lake.

aDrE1b0.pngJust a small edit; how does one make a full resolution screen shot of an entire map?

Very solid Classic map - To answer your question, making full resolution maps requires a few things. Firstly, and most importantly, when it is taken in ZQ, make sure the highest resolution box is checked before clicking on save map. Secondly, it must be uploaded to a site that provides you a direct Link to the image. A lot of sites will shrink large images, and make "thumbnails". I use Imgur, upload it, and use the second (direct) link to get full-res maps. Hope that helps.
