Though I agree about battery life. Fortunately, if I needed to take it on long trips, I have a car adapter thingy I could plug it into to charge on the go. So if I had this game, I could play it on trips to Georgia and make them less mind-numbing.

Oh, the GBA SP. I forgot about that because I hated the SP's design. Totally uncomfortable for people like me with big hands. And a square is not ergonomic.
Perhaps I used the term "backlit" improperly. Was the original DS backlit? If it was, then it was insufficient. Not bright enough. The DS Lite, however, was.
As for battery life, it's important to me, but even if I had a car adapter it wouldn't be useful. I don't typically ride as a passenger in a car for long periods of time. And when I am a passenger, it's on the bus. I most frequently play DS while waiting for the bus. Battery life is the only way to take advantage of that. And I prefer to close the DS rather than save and quit every time I am interrupted.

Alright, alright, before this grows into a real problem. Everyone getting all worked up about this... Please, take a breath of air. Go outside. Read a book. Hug a puppy. It's just a video game. I've seen people complain and debate about far more complex and sensitive subjects. This is not something to give yourself an aneurism over. If you're disappointed with the game, fine. But you don't need to lose sleep over it.
Wait... What's happening here?

Anyway, I actually found a real, honest change... Sort of. In the Bombchu Bowling Alley, the position of the second target changes from game to game. I don't think it did that in the original. Or at least, in the Gamecube version. I recall, when I last played through the GC version, it was always to the far right.
... Okay, maybe not the most interesting of changes.

I'm also finally to the Gerudo Fortress after about.. 14 hours. Sure, we can all run through this game in three minutes, but I thought I'd enjoy it, and read everything this time around, just because it is all new and shiny graphics wise.

Well, I don't know about anybody else, but I still haven't beaten the 2nd dungeon.
I'm actually trying to take my time and sight-see. And from what I remember, some memories from the N64 and GC version had faded away from me, so I forgot some things and where to go. xD
Well I can tell you the Water Temple is going to be a fun challenge for me...

Which character models are these? I'm interested by this.

I've been looking on Google and all I can find are picture of Link or the environment. I can remember Lynker sharing a link a few pages back (which I was unable to find) which showed several pictures of NPCs, the worst looking of the lot was young Ruto, she looked like nothing had changed. However, I did find this while searching:

Apparently crawlable holes need to be square... Not that that effects my overall opinion of the game, it's just that if you're going to do a remake, at least do it well, in as many ways as possible. You would paint a beautiful realistic portrait and make one of the eyes square, would you?
In any case, I'm tired of b****ing about this game. Nothing is going to change about it now.

I'm seeing it as good as a remake can be; Say as LA DX or Pokemon HG and SS.

The Water Temple is one of my favorite dungeons. Along with the Forest, Fire, and Spirit Temples. They did not change the design, as many speculated they might (Because they did change a dungeon slightly in the GBA port of AlttP). However they made the water changing spots stick out more, and there are these pipe looking things going through the rooms to each location. It almost looks like the great bay temple, except the pipes are on the walls.
Yeah, well, pre-release photos didn't always include new models and so on. Fact is, the game was made completely from scratch, on a new engine, so no, there are no old models left, though many look eerily similar, but Nintendo wanted to keep the style... or something, that's not really an excuse for bad (read: old-looking) models, but it's what we've got, and it doesn't really hurt the game, so I can at least live with it.
Do you have a source on this engine thing? I don't believe it is a brand new engine. It feels too much like the original. I believe it may use enhanced models in a modified SS, or even TP engine.
EDIT: I just finished the original game in 18:31. I played 11 times with an average of 1:41 per sitting. Once you beat the game, MQ becomes selectable from the title screen, and comes with it's own 3 save files which is nice. Also, yeah, the "only orchestrated track in the game" is a song that plays over the new credits. I won't say what it a a remix of, but it is probably fairly obvious

Anyways, you know what really bothers me? There are some crazy annoying visual glitches that seriously takes me out of the experience. Every now and then when you complete a secret or whatever, the following cutscene will require Link to face a certain direction, and if he's not, he'll start spinning around in one spot like crazy, sometimes moving his face up towards the sky at the same time. It looks stupid as hell, and I can't believe the beta testers didn't notice it (like, seriously, I can't believe they didn't. Someone must have had lazy beta testers). This has happened to me multiple times during each dungeon. Why in gods name didn't they fix this?!

Hah! That alone makes me want to get this game. Y'know, for the entertainment factor. Ya' see Russ, they did add something new! Bahahahahaha!

That actually happened to me a lot in the original. Maybe my game was just a bit messed up or something, but, although it didn't happen every time something happened, I was never surprised when it did because it wasn't uncommon. Maybe that's another part they tried to keep close to the original...Y'know, for nostalgia's sake.
...I'm being sarcastic, if nobody picked up on that.
