sand and house (except the roof) are decent, but the grass looks far less than ideal. great concept and great wood tiles.

Small changes to the roof and sand.

The grass in this area is suppose to look flat. The grass may change just a wee bit but probably not.

I'm really glad you took my advice, looks a lot better now.

Plus those houses are marvelous! I also like the grass in this shape actually. Maybe a few plucks and sprouts would do it good, but I'm not sure about that... Or so holes in the grass showing sand, that'd look really good, I think. I'm also curious about seeing the water in animation.

better. if the grass is supposed to be where the sand has washed away and seem to be under the sand, then it's fine, otherwise it is not good.

Yea, do think that trudatman has a point with that. You should let "puffs" of grass go over the sand if you intended effect is to make it grow on top of the sand instead of beneath it.

Nice. I suggest texture for the grass, though. You could at least try to see wether you like it, right?

So I would like to thank the person who convinced me to tweak the sand... it looks amazing now.

Also, everyone is correct about the grass it is a bit plain so I threw in some touches. The little grass bits will change a lot more than in this shot.

And I just remembered about the windows.

By the way, yes it's custom.

I love it, Rafael. But, your sand needs more variation. Perhaps huge rocks, mountains and shells!

Starting to get my touch back with DoR.
Please tell me what you think icon_smile.gif

Edit - Forgot it was in ZQ xD
It has changed a bit since then, by the way.

I love it. especially the roof. But do you see how the top of all the wooden objects is highlighted?
The posts the building is constructed out of, and the ladder? That means that the "porch" area
you can walk around on should be highlighted as well. It is the only wooden object that doesn't
"pop" out of the screen. Everything else does.

It looks really nice thus far, it has a certain charme to it. Bushes are quick to sprite and add greatly to the overall detail level. Maybe make some next? Than, seashells and rocks would also look nice here. Palm trees, too, but they are somewhat harder to sprite.

I would like to ask to stop telling me what to add. It's not necessary as the screen is clearly not done. This is actually an older set being edited more and it already has many of these things I just want to refurbish them before I continue. Just letting people know that. I do have shells and bushes and even palm trees icon_razz.gif

@Jared-I like it but I never did like the DoR original palette. The stairs need to end higher (one tile). Pretty good though.

Oh and the platforms are not done either of course. I just have a lot of trouble with big wooden sprites.

This isn't the original palette o.O Anyway, I don't think so. I'm not sure. Thank you, though icon_smile.gif

Late night spriting churned this out. The trees need some work (less symmetry), but I think they look pretty cool.

Hmmm... I see the posts on the house need some work. I think I'll add lamps. Ooo and I'll add a night part to the beginning. Oh yes.

Yeah, it's coming along really nice. The leafes of the palm probably need some work like you suggested (some highlights or a texture I guess) but the wooden part already looks really, really nice. They also look as though the tiles are comfy to work with.

A couple of edits here and there. I need to pull the back leaf up a bit so the perspective doesn't look so whack. Just ignore that.
