No stairway, but if you head south, than west, than north, you should find another locked door which leads back to the windrobes and dopplegangers, you'll be closer to the key. But you need to defeat two windrobes to get it, and you know by now these windrobes ain't messing around.

Ran into this the first time I played this too and had to restart.

Just after getting the bomerang in Pre LVL 1 and taking a tour high up in the North West to the snow & Ice village, there is a warp that takes you to Fire World. Entering there down & to the left and across bridge that takes you into Unknown ?? (Gannons area) "DO NOT SAVE HERE"

Also if you go through village and head down, "DO NOT SAVE" The restarts takes you into areas that you cannot get out of because you do not have the items yet.

Like the first time I ended up in an area you needed a superbomb (Gannons area). Wow. The other areas you needed a ladder. Just to get out of of them, which you didn't have.
Maye some sort of an item block?

Use your bomb to blast yourself into The center of the "O" and than push the red block.

Hello, I've obtained this key, but I don't know where to use it. Up on the floor above there's a maze I suspect I need to get through. If the color blocks on the C O L E blocks are a clue to the maze, I'm clueless. And, as far as I can see, I've only encountered the C and the O. Where do I go next?
