Ocarina of Time 3D, as usual. I really want Xenoblade however. Is it worth it? I heard it was amazing.

Xenoblade is one of the best RPGs this generation. Screw Skyrim! icon_lol.gif

Sounds good, I just might get it! But why is it $60 instead of $50?

Most likely because the game is quite desired by a lot of people. so that maybe why? I don't know I bought mine in game stop for $49.99. which but mine was the last copy my game stop would be getting. and they said I was very lucky to get it O.O.
I can't believe some guy didn't come pick it up after reserving it. man I'm so lucky <3

But Xenoblade is one of the best games I've played in awhile. the story is fantastic the game play is wonderful. The world is huge and has plenty to do.

By "the story is fantastic" he means it's typical JRPG Shonen anime knockoff bullshit.

By "the game play is wonderful" he means you spend most of the time in battles waiting for your ability cooldowns to expire.

By "the world is huge and has plenty to do" he means there's a main quest chain and there are "side quests" that are all of the Twenty Bear Asses variety.

I'm sorry, I mean it's still a good JRPG but I was just nowhere near as impressed by Xenoblade as everyone says I should have been.

Giggidy, do you have to be so negative? Goodness. All he was trying to do was give me an optimistic opinion of his view on the game, which varies from person to person.

Personally I think it's a good thing to get multiple opinions on a game. He thinks it's overrated, which to be honest, I tend to share his view of thinking a game is nowhere near as good as any hype builds it up to be (assuming I actually get caught up in the hype instead of trying to avoid it). But, after all, the only way to truly find out for yourself is to try it.

Anyways, downloaded the demos of Sonic Generations and Arkham City earlier to see how well they ran on my computer. Answer: Pretty well, actually. Which pleases me; I might get Arkham City for PC, and thinking about Generations just for the mods. Also, just transferred all my Steam files earlier this evening. I ran a few of them to make sure everything's in order, and they were. Played a little LIMBO, Sonic 4: Episode II, and VVVVVV. Which led me to... Veni Vidi Vici. Which after DOZENS of attempts, I managed to beat. I actually recorded it in a stream, as well as another section that's reportedly really difficult. Here's the video, featuring myself, Russ (briefly), Moosh, LinktheMaster, and Evan20000:

Doing a lot of handheld gaming. Very entertaining during college passing periods.

I just picked up Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention dood! This is my first Disgaea game and all I can say from by first impressions is this is probably one of the wackiest games I've played in a good way. I just couldn't stop laughing during the cutscenes. Vic Mignonga as Mao is win! Gameplay-wise, tt feels a more broad Final Fantasy Tactics. I felt you have a wider selection of tactics to pull on your enemies.

I also got very far in Gravity Rush. I say this game is very underrated from all the reviews I've seen. I am definitely enjoying this game's simplistic gameplay and excellent visuals.

I still need to play more Last Story. I definitely prefer this kind of gameplay over Xenoblade. I'm still on Chapter 12. I'm a little behind at about 4 hours. Once I have a lot of free time, I'll continue playing.

Added the VVVVVV video back to my last post. Anyways, played a little Audiosurf and I'm loving how smoothly it runs now on my new computer. Just gotta hope the site stops going through maintenance so I can actually log in to my account and save my scores... icon_sweat.gif

Handheld gaming is fun. It's been a while since I've played a decent handheld game that's less than ten years old, and - now that I own a 3DS - I have a lot of catching up to do. During my downtime at college, I've been playing Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Professor Layton and the Curious Village, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, and Pokemon: Soul Silver. They're not the absolute best of games, but they keep me occupied.

Other than that, I've been playing a lot of Lone Survivor on Steam. It's like a 2-dimensional Silent Hill, and it's VERY good for an independent game.

I dunno, the last 3 indie games I've played were far more enjoyable than the last 3 AAA games I've played.

Finished New Super Mario Bros. 2. It is a pretty good game, if you enjoy the game for its gameplay. It is on the same level as NSMBWii, being a 7/10 on my list.
Also continued my long time static playthrough of Oracle of Ages. I just got to Symmetry City and got the broken Baka(?) Nut. I will soon be up to level 4. in that game.

Mhmm. Still, there's also a ton of crap out there - the games that never quite see the light of day or mainstream recognition, due to their lack of quality. I had thought that Lone Survivor was one of those, since I had never heard of it before I started to play it, but... it really is an amazing game.
