Feedback? Ignore the purple spots - I'm still self debating what to put in their besides grass or trees (most likely will be water).

I'll like to thank Moo2wo for such an awesome palette!

EDIT: The left most fence that surrounding that bland grass area is currently subject to change planning to add a bombable 2x2 rock there.

Detail is great, palette is beautiful, layout is pretty good. Your map is coming out pretty good.
but, I've seen so many MANY maps like that. There is just not much originality in it. Like if I saw that picture and didn't know who made it, I'd bet 100 bucks that moo2wo made it. Doesn't make it bad, because just so many people have that style using pure remembrance. It's very difficult to be super original.

Like what kind of spice?

I'd probably change up the colors, elevation and maybe add some more detail. Also, I think there is too much detail variation on this screen; the many different types of flowers, stones, bushes, dirt and rocks, make it look too random. I would take out those gray rocks and replace them either with dirt or more flowers.

I guess your right about it looking like Moo2wo's. To be honest, I lied a bit. That map was just a mock up. My maps will be more natural then fruitcake.

Here's a shot of my central themed level. Temple of Fate. (the other screens/design will go on to the next level)

I really like the screen design and the choice of color and graphics, but I don't think there is need for that much boarders..

Does those stairs lead up to another level, or up to the statue? Either way there's a problem with its placement. If it leads up to the statue, it makes no sense perspective-wise, but if it leads up to another level: who would put a statue behind a set of stairs? That'd block the view and if people can't see the statue, what's the point?

Now, you may say that because it's 2D top-down perspective, it doesn't matter because the player can see it just fine, but in my opinion it matters a whole lot because it takes me out of the experience by showing me that whoever drew the blueprints to this dungeon didn't account for that little detail.

I don't know, maybe I think too much about little details, but it's the little details that matters, wouldn't you agree?

Also, as a side-note, your avatar isn't in HD icon_razz.gif It's pretty low-definition actually. xD

Ica44 and Jared: Thanks guys. To summarize Jared's question there from MC. I think when it comes to dungeons borders are important without them the screen will feel less empty.

Robin: The stairs lead to another level. I can see what you mean about the perspective. I removed the dragon statue and added some wall decoration behind where that dragon statue was. Thanks! icon_smile.gif

Also yeah I just noticed I added HD... I could have swore I removed the HD part. Oh well.

Pretty sure he's making it custom.

I think the sand colours are too much in contrast, make those colours blend in a bit better.

And I suppose those wooden tiles need some polishing, but I love the idea of these beachy houses.

Mountain area, along with what is essentially a remixed Lynel. Don't know what's going on with the top there.
[Also I'm probably going to start on new Link graphics after I make the Level 2 boss and all the stuff I still have to do for this area and Level 3.]

That's because it is flat.

And damn I forgot to change the sand. I will do it later.

I also forgot to add windows. I'm a failure.
