This. It's been just about my entire evening, between really stupid typos and other over-sights. But I'm glad it's finally done. And when I make the puzzles that will utilize this, I'm thinking people will probably want my head or something. ):

A thanks to Moosh for helping me out, and Saffith for the solidifyFFC function. Much appreciated, both of you. icon_smile.gif

Ha ha, thanks you! icon_smile.gif I'd be cool with releasing the script once I've added a few things and polished it up some.

Thats amazing! ..
How does it work? You are using ffc's not multiple linked combos with push block flags, right?

It...It's a little complicated, and it uses a bunch of FFCs. Basically, each tile that makes up a block is a separate FFC that are 'connected' to a single piece through the script. The main FFC with the script has a bunch of numbers passed in to tell it which FFCs are part of the block. So you'd have to set up an FFC for each part of the block, one of which has to have the script and numbers of the other FFCs. So there are no push block flags or anything applied to these, though they do respect the No Push Block flag, or whatever it's called.

I'm sure there are better ways to do it, but I found this the easiest to write.

Yeah, it's pretty darn sweet, Spaceman.

Tonight, after work, I put a ton of finishing touches on DoY's final two bosses. I made it a lot shinier, and added some very satisfying sound effects. I had a huge grin on my face when I watched the final boss screaming in defeat. Oh god it felt so good.

I'm working on this little cutscene, but it's proving difficult for me. The freaking FFCs won't change!! Grrrrr...

Worked a lot on caves and my first temple. I wanted to get a demo out...but I guess that isn't happening tonight. icon_unsettled.gif

Took a break on December 24th for the holidays, just starting back up today with work on the quest. The downside? I'm more of a dungeon type of maker and I got lots of overworld to do.

Just so I don't get completely bored, I'll probably throw in a side dungeon to do. I would say what exactly i'm designing, but it's meant to be more of a surprise and ties to Level 7 in my quest. Level 7 will be a little different from your typical dungeon, but not too drastic, Level 8 however when I get to it has a neat gimmick I think will be interesting.

This isn't in ZC per se, but it pertains to it. I typed out a lot of comprehensive lists and plans for my quest. I have enough Ideas now to take on the quest with the confidence that it will be fun to play. Now, in ZC, I did mess with the palettes a bit more. I've been trying to come up with some nice dungeon color combinations. I'm finding this more enjoyable and easier than making Overworld palettes.

I'm making great progress on my field map. It's really starting to take shape. I'm also thinking of plans for future areas in my quest. I'm very confident that this quest is going to be good icon_smile.gif

Almost completely finalized all the item locations in my quest. Still not sure about gold arrows, and the Level 2 Hammer, but they'll go in somewhere. I won't be using them all, but there will be a lot still. Now I'm in the process of taking fire and ice sword graphics from another tileset of mine.
