I'm happy that they left the game alone, honestly. The hardcore Zelda fan isn't the target market for OoT 3DS; it's the new generation of gamers that is too young to have grown up with an N64. It's for the little brother of the hardcore Zelda fan that's never played the game before. Looking at it this way, I think it's actually pretty cool that they're going to get almost the exact same experience that we did playing the game; no need to clutter the game with bonus content.
I'll admit that Ocarina of Time did have flaws; some a lot larger than others. But I think that it's aged remarkably well and the fact that it can be released 13 years later and still be that same masterpiece for a totally new set of kids is pretty cool.

You know when I mean making NPCs more interesting, I mean giving them actual personality and such, right? You know, instead of just emotionless cardboard cutouts that say the same thing each time for Link to talk to. But I guess that would sway Ganondorf's mind about taking over the world and it would completely screw up the plot. And sheesh, the purpose of an extra dungeon doesn't have to be plot relevant. Could've just been a cave of ordeals type deal or something.
Believable NPC's would be a first for the Zelda series in general, expecting in OoT 3DS is asking a bit much.
