WARNING: SPOILERS AND SCREENS BRO LOOK-OUT O:

Picked up a copy yesterday. One of my good friends works at a game store, and they go it in early. I'm already in the Faron woods now icon_biggrin.gif It's pretty awesome so far. The sword controls feel pretty tight, and there are some other changes which are nice. I'm not sure how I feel about the Stamina bar yet though.

This is the case.

IPB Image
This is Link sitting on a toilet in the Knight Academy.

IPB Image
Link obtaining an item known as the "Goddess Sword".

IPB Image
Link talking with Fi, the spirit of the sword.

I have to say, it took me about three hours to get to the Faron Woods, and at that point, a good chunk of the Skyworld is open, and there are a lot of little things to do such as side quests right off the bat. Not to mention, once you get used to the controls, of flying, it is quite fun to sore through the skies. In effect, it replaces the ocean in TWW, and the world map in Z2 (Both in different ways. You can fly to islands, but you can also enter areas of the surface world) and it more engaging to pass through, which makes it feel less boring. There is also a sense of great scope once you get to flying. I'd say to put it briefly, that this game finds a good balance between Majora's Mask, and Windwaker. It might sound weird, but maybe when others play it, they'll see what I mean.

The game looks GORGEOUS on my 52" inch HD 1080p TV. icon_biggrin.gif

Anyway, Impressions!

It took me like 4 hours to get to Faron Woods. The sword controls are top notch and the rest of the controls are pretty tight. The bird flying might take some time to get used to since it requires you to tilt the WiiMotion+ controller. You don't have to stand up to play the game, you can sit in a comfy chair and enjoy the game sitting down. Enemies are much harder this time requiring to swing a certain way or else they will defense the hits you give them. DO NOT WAGGLE IN THIS GAME or else you will pretty much die. I love Link's and Zelda's relationship. It's what i been waiting all my life in a Zelda game. The game and music has been fantastic so far. Right now i'm in faron woods searching for the kiwic characters.

Well PICKED MINE LAST NIGHT icon_biggrin.gif , And holy crap the game is amazing! The sword controls, work perfect!.

You know, a weird moment at my local gamestop, was a guy who was dressed up like "Link", he had a wooden shield with aluminum foil on it, and a wooden boomerang, and a he had a power bracer icon_lol.gif.

I found this very funny XD, Anywho My game progress is...well in the first area of the game just got my sword icon_razz.gif YAY!!!.

This game is incredibly good and addicting! The sword works perfect and I've just beaten the first temple.
Story is great, I like the atmosphere, and also Zeldas and Links relationship. The enemies are better than I thought!

I just hope that the game is not as short as I predict:

Anyone else want to share their feelings of the overworld style revamps now that the game is out? I haven't been able to play it much lately, still at the 4th temple, but I'm curious on others opinions. Most fan reviews I'm seeing talk solely about the controls and dungeons.

Herp de derp looks like there is a final dungeon, although it's a pretty wimpy one IMO.

Lost why? Dowse by pressing C on your controller. Anyway going into work now with little hours of sleep but it's been worth it. Having a TON of fun with this game. Will continue through the 1st dungeon when i come back.

Dowsing isn't the problem, it's that I have no idea what direction I'm heading in. Sure, you can press + to see the map, but it's much more convenient to just look in the corner instead of stopping to check the map.

Yeah I've been missing the minimap as well, seems like a pointless thing to get rid of.

You know actually, I kinda like not having a mini map, it makes you actually use the full-Screen map, more, which I like icon_smile.gif.

Well so far so good, I'm really loving this game icon_biggrin.gif

It's because the Wiimote makes this game's HUD terribly large, and adding a minimap would just be too much.

Also I haven't played it yet, I'm just basing this on screenshots.

You know, with that said, it reminds me that its neat, that you can chose what type of HUD you can have.

1. Normal HUD, which has all the stuff all over the screen.

2. Lighter HUD, which has less stuff on it

3. No HUD except the Life gauge, and Money counter, and the shield gauge

I though that was pretty neat.
