As for the magic use of the Lens, simply just never hold down the item button, just tap it once. You still see flashing the item, but it uses much less magic. Luckily I put magic and magic dropper enemies here and there.

The fat guy has a tile error behind him - see the

Weirdness where the water meets the bush.

One of my main problems with that type of mountain - the random brown bits on the sides that look like part of the ground, but aren't. Aren't there counterparts with green bits?

And just what is that bit of ugliness?

The music doesn't loop properly in the Library - probably other places too.
One question, though: there was a brighter-than-normal Darknut outside the chick's house that turned around whenever I got close. I sat there for a few minutes (equivilant of like 12-15 real minutes in Vsync hypertime), and he didn't do anything. I went up to him and he turned around, and stayed that way. It seemed suspicious, and I know there's something you can do there. So what do I do?

@System Error: Do nothing. The world wasn't built for Knil. Sometimes the characters just don't pay any attention to him.
Oh, and press F1 for normal-speed gameplay.

But it was built for me, the player. The character did pay attention to him in this case, and in a very conspicious way. It's just intuition - there has to be something behind that. Also, like I said, with VSync off, there is an annoying flickering. I'm stuck between hyperspeed and a strobe show.

Well, there isn't. And my advice to you: Get a new computer
And there is. I just know there is. I know about that "secret dx ending" that can be accessed in the intro are through reading the topic, and the guy who beat the game in four minutes flat. I can just sense that place has something to do with it - or another random, inconspicious thing in the intro area.

At the far east of F1, go south and very quickly kill all dodongos, then go into the appearing warps.
Brandon:
So you got one of the endings, later you can try some of the other 4. (Unless you got more than 1, after all you didn't tell.)
As for the lens being mandatory, yes, it's something that I didn't realize while making. I always expected the player to find out what to do, but in the end, I needed to use lens (And sometimes look into ZQuest!), myself, to go past certain areas, mostly bosses. As you can see in some boss videos of mine.
System Error:
Hm, then your name is sure ironic. So, let's get over the pictures you showed at first.
1. Hm, I didn't even see it, I will fix it.
2. I ran out of layers. Not that big of a problem, I presume.
3. The browness bugged me, too, but I got used to it. No green counterparts, and I think it's better if it stays part of the mountain and only looks like it would be ground, but in real it's not.
4. I don't see ugliness or weirdness there. If you mean the half opened boss door, it's just easter egg.
As for squareness, the earlier overworlds and dungeons are sure square, yes. Even nowadays I don't feel like drawing curly abstract walls and such, but maybe I will, if people keep complaining.
As for the darknut at the beginning, it's not a secret. It just stares in a direction but when you try to pass it turns around and threatens you with his (its...) sword. The game doesn't revolve around Knil or the player, it works by itself, so it has own menhanics that you can affect a little, but don't expect to gain an item or other secret from anything that moves. Much much later there will be an NPC that turns away from you if you go close to him. In the same area you can push a vase and the only effect is that the girl who was looking at it steps away, too, so that she is still next to the vase and can continue looking. But most of the secrets are still useful, so rejoice.
As for the Secret DX ending, it's really in the intro, but doesn't have to do anything with darknuts. If you can't figure it out yourself, there will be a strong clue hidden very deep in the final level. But you can enjoy the Secret DX the most only if you already seen the Neutral or Best or Secret endings. But it's interesting anyway.
