Petoe is correct, the quest is only stable on 183. I played through and beat it on that version and there are no serious bugs, maybe a continue bug or two that can be easily worked around, and the cool error screen in the M/S. icon_wink.gif

182 has a very bad case of continue bugs. 183 has them too, but it's more fixed and Petoe designed the quest especially for that version and for continue bugs to be fixed on it. 184 however... there's an alpha 1 and 2. 1 still has the continue bugs (I could've played the quest on that), and alpha 2 has them fixed. Then you wonder... why do bugs occur on 184? Well, quests makers such as Petoe and myself use many DMaps for events, and you can change DMaps easily by a side warp. The continue bug is fixed, so it puts you on the first screen when you enter a DMap.

Sorry for the off-topicness, but just giving some ZC info.

That's okay, Polygon. That's good info for people.
But now I can finally forget all the confusion with 182, 183, 184 alphas 1, 2 and something... icon_heh.gif
...or maybe not. I don't like how the continuing works in the newer betas. :\ For complex and big quests like MMDWR and MtPP I'd say 183 is still the best version, or is it? Hmm... icon_eyebrow.gif

Anyways, you people could ask more questions. It would make the writing of the walkthrough easier for me. icon_wink.gif

I have just reached the M/S Mariel miniboss, and I can't figure out how to beat him. I've tried slashing him with my sword, hitting him with my boomerang, bombing him, shooting him with my arrows, using my whistle, and shooting him with my mega buster. What in the world do I do?

Also, can I get the L2 Light Saber yet? If so, how?

The L2 Saber is a few screens above the iso dome outside and is accessed via a red portal. Push the boulder and play through the secret facility.

As for the M/S miniboss, you have to wait until all the fire has risen from below. Once there are no more flashing burners on the ground, then attack the boss.

That's right Polygon... well, except for the L2 Light Saber part. The red portal isn't north of Iso Dome, it is in north of the other dome far away in the west. icon_wink.gif

And about the L3 mini-boss, I can add that you must be really fast when the bosses' "tongue" starts flashing. Just shoot as fast as you can and the boss is dead soon.

So can I get the L2 lightsaber now, or do I have to wait?

This question may have been answered somewhere, but where do you go after you restore the power in the Power Plant to the Mega City? (basically, right near beginning of game).

Well, you'll want to fully explore the power plant until you find the first triforce piece. After doing that, you need to head to the iso dome to the south which can be reached via the sewers I recall.

Yeah, you should beat the Power Station fully before proceeding. After that is done, go to the Dome level through sewers.... and since many people seem to miss the correct sewer access, it is in the northeast corner of the overworld map.

Does anybody have any tips for me for the Secret Facility? Many times I can make it to the part where there are a lot of those things that squash you in multiple rooms and you're on a conveyor belt, but I always die. When I try to stop in between them, I apparently always just barely get hit. 2 hits from those kill me, and I can never dodge them.

Hmm... I have to say that those "crushers" are really nasty in the conveyor part... :\
You are probably talking about the small gap where MM barely fits, right? Well, I don't know if it's a some kind of a bug but sometimes though it might seem like you are exactly between the 2 crushers, you still might get hit. But I have managed to solve this problem simply by walking north (pressing up) when in the middle of those 2 things to prevent damage. Don't ask why, how, when etc, but it should work... icon_shrug.gif ...it's weird, yes.

And in the conveyor part, do you know that it's safe to touch those crusher things when they are down touching the ground. They only damage you if they crush you. So use that to your advantage by walking towards them when they are down. When they start going up, you're already walking under those things...

Yeah, I have been walking next to them the whole time. I just had trouble in the parts where there's a tiny space to hide in. I'm not at my home computer now, but I'll try it later and report back.

EDIT: I just made it to the boss, but I can't beat him. Does anybody have any tips for me?

EDIT2: Well, I just beat him. I'm way too impatient. He wasn't actually that hard, it only took me 3 tries. Anyways, I just found that place near Lapin village where you go into the simulator. I've tried it, but I lost 3 times in a row. Is it possible at this point in the quest? If it isn't, I don't want to waste any more of my hard-earned moolah.

I wouldn't even try beating that yet. Because eventually you'll fight cracktoroks and you're at no condition to be fighting those right now. I highly recommend going there after level seven or eight.
