QUOTE(DarkFlameWolf @ Jul 15 2004, 04:12 PM)
EDIT: Furthermore, to address the complaint about a 320 rupee magic shield. There is a reason for such a high price. First off, to increase difficulty, duh. But to help promote unlinearity in the quest, its up to the player if they want a cheap shield or not. If you go at the dungeons in order, you'll encounter a cheaper magic shield quite late in the game, but if you choose to skip to level 5, get the flippers and head for Death Island or Volcano Island, brave the dangers there to get to those shops, you can buy the magic shield for cheaper. Its all a matter of WHEN you want to do it. If that doesn't interest you, you can acquire the red lantern, wand, and hookshot from levels 2, 3 and 5 and complete level b right off the bat (tough, but doable) to get the mirror shield before beating any dungeons, thus eliminating any magic shield buying permenantly. Its all a matter of WHEN you want to do it or if you are simply going to give in and shell out 320 rupees and be ripped off. That was my reasoning behind such high prices. Satisfied?

I actually did not purchase it for 320 rupees. I did wait for the Flippers, saw it offered for 140 at Volcano Island, and decided that it was a perfect time to purchase it.

It also saved me from a lot of Like Like troubles in Levels 3 & 4. Yet it still caused serious problems for me to not have it during those levels.

By the way, you need the Ladder to complete Level B, you do have to complete Level 4. icon_razz.gif

I think you should have just offered the Magic Shield the price you can get it for after completing the Master Dome in the whole quest though, 20 rupees!!! icon_lol.gif

As for the magic shield, I bought 1 at swamp island around level 2, and have been MAJORLY lucky that it hasn't been eaten yet.

But, now that I know about the one for sale after level 5, I'm very happy. icon_biggrin.gif

I also plan to go after the mirror shield when I get the hookshot, so let's hope level B is around the same challenge level that Level A was.. (Good lord... the boss of Level A.. *trembles*)

By the way, when I saw sctmorgan post, I thought Wolfy was talking to herself. icon_lol.gif

okay, go to the most north room where four blue wizzrobes dwell and two spike traps. Look at the floor closely. Experiment.

Quick questions, and a tip for all you swimmers.

Question) How many hearts do you need to get the magic sword?

Tip for swimmers) You guys want a shortcut to the bomb shop? Well, here's what you do.

- Start from behind Link's house on Town Island. Yes, behind.. Where the red rupee is.
- Swim left 1 screen.
- Swim up 2 screens.
- Swim right 1 screen.

Voila! Bomb shop. icon_smile.gif

Got the Lens before I got the Cross while fighting invisible enemies. I am now in the second room which requires the lens & I am to walk through the left wall but I can't seem to be able to walk through.

Is there a solution to the Lvl 6 maze?

Alright.. I managed to beat Level B's boss, but I got trapped behind the mirror, and surrounded by a magic stream.

Seeing as suicide sucks, could someone give me some strategy as how to beat this guy, aside from standing at the right place at the right time?

What type of boss is in Lvl B? Death Knight? Mirror Wizzrobe?

Level B's boss is a Mirror Wizzrobe. Once you get him to fire magic at the prism, run like hell to the top of the screen!!!

Staying near the middle should increase your ability to move around and will make it easier.

Ielen: Push hard against the exact middle of the left wall, it can be walked through. The Level 6 maze's solution is in the room itself. Use the lens near the four blocks in the middle and you'll see it. The cross is in the blue wizzrobe room at the top right, search very carefully.

Level B's boss is a lone Mirror Wizzrobe. To beat him, you can do it one of two ways. The riskier way, but faster, is the instant you enter the room, run up to his 'row' and have him shoot at you, immediately run north to the door. The top two rows in the center are safe (as are the bottom two, but if you get stuck there, you're essentially f*cked from ever getting to the top, so head north!). It'll take only 5-6 hits with his own reflected magic to defeat him.
If that is too risky for you, you can use your Wand to fire a beam into a prism and run north to your safe spot and wait for him to die. Since your magic is infinitely weaker than his, it'll take over 25 hits or so for him to be defeated. And it gives him more chances to head north to your safe spot and try and off you. As long as he stays on the sides and southern wall, you should be safe, but if he travels up to your safe spot, have a potion on hand.
And that's really all there is to beating the guy. You really don't fight him. lol

Thanks Happyman, I've cleared lvl 6 thanks.

I'm stuck in Lvl A, seem to be going in the same place all the time. I saw the stumps which require the hammer & the boss doior but no boss key yet. Is this the place to get the hammer?
