Anyway, so did anyone noticed at the end when he unleashed a super spin attack that he had the Master Sword and Hylian Shield rather than the standard beginners set? It'd be hard to implement the Master Sword into the game without some form of storyline. So there's a clue that there might be one. I also wonder if we can customize Link too, with that scarf and shoulder armor, for example. Would be cool... especially if there's going to be an online mode.

 

And before you go "OMG, are you friggin kidding me, I'm a hardcore Zelda fan and there should be only one Link per game." on me, I might point you to the other spin off title which featured Link, and more importantly, more than one. Super Smash Bros. You can battle normal/Toon Link with a normal/Toon Link too. So I'd fail to see the issue here if they do implement hundreds of Links.

I'm pretty sure we can customize Link. If you look in another part of the video, all Link has is the Fire Rod, and no sword/sheath or shield on his back.

While I think we can indeed customize Link, I think this is a bad example. I mainly say this because of how the weapon system worked in Dynasty Warriors 8, where before a battle you can choose 2 main weapons. You can toggle between them in the PS3 version by tapping R1. I think the trailer was trying to show Link switching from the sword and shield to the Fire Rod. Or Of course, I could be reading into this, and you're only given one weapon choice. But yeah, changing some of Link's clothes would be REALLY nice.

 

EDIT: Just remembered that the two weapons system is actually quite a bit of customization, so Jared, the Fire Rod was a great example.

After watching the video, this game is totally for me as I love combat and this seems just right up my alley. This will be a pretty good little spin off.

Looking forward to seeing more of this in the future, hopefully they can make good title name for the game. I know the name is not final. But hopefully its some thing that sounds good and really makes people want to look into it.

Switching between the master Sword w/ Shield and the Fire Rod mid-battle would indeed be quite the treat though, wouldn't you say? :3

 

Something I'm really hoping to see in this game is some kinda of online battle where you fight eachother, because like, shockingly, DW8 had no battle mode, where you could fight eachother. If there's no battle mode, I won't be disappointed, but it would certainly be nice though.
