As crazy as this probably sounds, coming from me, count me in. This could be fun! (expect something incredibly basic and rudimentary)

Basic and rudimentary is fine. Getting out anything in two weeks is an accomplishment. Good luck!

Jay C. is teaming with me, so could you put him on the roster beside my name?

Am I the only one losing motivation with time passing waiting to actually build? :-/

Same. I planned so much I'm too hyped. D:

...But then I found motivation to work on my main project... the only reason I signed up for this is to find motivation, now that I have a lot I'm going to have to drop out. Sorries. D:

I think Jared is right. Not being able to make screens is pretty demotivating.. I knew it would be best to decide what to do when the time comes and yet I still planned beforehand

Anyways, I will work on my other projects then, or take a break from zc  ;)

At least we still have lots of participants, so it's gonna be fun.

So yeah Russ....it's not only me.

Anyways! I think I'm going to drop out. I just lost all of my motivation. Oh well! Good luck to all the entrants. :)

I think it makes more sense to not be able to make screens beforehand. It makes it feel more like a Game Jam or a 24-hour comic kind of situation, where you have your ideas but you still have to get them all out there in a time limit. I really dig the concept.

Edit: Also, it probably doesn't bode well that I'm doing all my dungeon layouts in Notepad, does it? XD

In... Notepad... Madre de Dios... Why would you do such a horrible thing?

Personally, I use graph paper when I plan stuff in ZC. Alphadawg made some graph paper specifically for ZC way back when, and I find it really useful for this kind of thing.

Yeah... I do everything in Notepad, unless it requires math. Then I do it Excel. There's a link to a picture of how I do it, but it may be spoilery if I use that dungeon.

Mind if I jump in? I know I have no potential chance of winning, but I'm sure getting back into ZC will be fun. :P

Sure, of course you can come in. Even if you don't have a chance of winning (which is nonsense by the way; just completing the quest gives you a pretty high chance of winning), extra practice, and having a completed quest done, are always great. Good luck!

Thanks. By the way, are we allowed to set up alias tiles for our quest before the 15th?

Would be nice if the participants on the list get a message when the contest starts. I do not want there to be a chance that I miss (or forget) it :)

Yes, that's perfect acceptable.

I can do that. I guess I'll just send out a mass PM to everybody on the list reminding them that the contest is starting. Thanks for the idea.

I'm going to have to withdraw from this contest, since I'm nearing the end of a project I've spent the last two years on. That, and the project intended for this two week contest will probably need more than two weeks for me to be satisfied with it. Good luck to all participants though!
