What? That doesn't even make any sense. Each game on gamerankings get their ratings by combining all ratings from the most respected gaming websites and magazines. You can't say that their credibillity isn't good, because that would simply be wrong.

I'm not saying that the list should be the same for everyone, but that list only states what is fact, and those are the highest rated video games of all time. So you are wrong sir, and I think you should be sure to read what a website is about before going off and claiming it doesn't have any credibillity. You may like AlttP more than OoT or TP, but fact is that both OoT and TP recieved higher ratings, and that's why they're on that list. TP is on it twice because it has two versions, GameCube and Wii. The list was not made by some guy, but hundreds, thousands of video game critics, and to be honest, they know what they're talking about. That list is the best representation of a "best of all times" list you could possibly ever get, even though you may like some games that's not on it. the list bases itself on fact, not on the opinions of all the gamers in the world.

To clear some things up, OoT and TP are two of favorite Zelda games and LttP is actually one of my least favorites. The reason I was shocked that it was not on the list is that many Zelda fans put it right under OoT as far as best Zelda game goes. I know there's two versions of TP, but I feel that only one should be allowed on the list because it's the same game in the long run. I was aware that the list was made from the ratings of video game critics, however one or two critics do not represent an entire fanbase. We are all biased in some way or another. Also, if you'll notice, some of those games had only 5 reviews. If 5 people give a game a 10, that doesn't necessarily make me want to play it. With how new Super Mario Galaxy 2 is, I feel that it winning over OoT was simply a result of the new game effect. Back to the topic of OoT DS, I feel that Super Mario 64 DS was a great game, so as long as this isn't just a direct port, I'll enjoy it!

Although the graphics look great, it's mere eyecandy. I don't think Nintendo would only go as far as updating the graphics when remaking a game as popular as OoT. Or rather, they'd better not.

I hope this remake stays faithful to the original in the sense of how it feels. That's important.

However I hope that they do something cool and slightly different, kind of like when the remade Super Mario 64 for the DS. The changed up the story just a little bit and added content.
Not a great example, I know. But you know what I mean right?

I would love to see an extra dungeon or maybe even an added Master Quest option (although that's probably a bit to much to hope for). Simply being able to play OoT on the go is a welcome change for me though. I wonder if it will be compatible with the normal DS and DSi...

I hope they just make it so that I can actually die in the game without intending to die (like that time I walked away and forgot to pause it. MY ONLY DEATH EVER.) That, and the overworld needs a 100% revamp.

BLASPHEMY! HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST SUCH A THING!? Naw I'm just kidding. I agree that the difficulty needs fixing, although I think Hyrule Field is fine as is.

I like the layout of Hyrule Field, but it needs a revamp as far as textures and depth wise. In the N64, it seemed very...neglected, for lack of a better term. There wasn't too much going on, so it was pretty boring. Nothing much is needed, just more details in the ground, maybe some more obstacles to walk around so it's not as holy-flipping emtpy.

They need to do something about that Water Temple. That temple was a blasphemy and difficult as hell man!

I didn't find the Water Temple hard, just tedious. It would be hard if Morpha followed you around the whole time, but was invincible until the boss room. THAT might make it hard.

Games are too easy nowadays. Whatever happened to "Nintendo Hard"? The water temple was a serious challenge. Those seemed to have disappeared about the time Wind Waker came about, where on my current playthrough I haven't died a single time.

The Water Temple is a masterpiece of gaming. Period. Changing it would completely ruin the level.

It's one of my favorite dungeons in Ocarina of Time (which incidentally has extraordinarily good dungeons on the whole). Even after playing and beating Ocarina of Time 5+ times that level can still have me searching the map for any clues on where to go next; that's when you know you've done something right.

I knew that was a TVTropes link before I hovered it... icon_love.gif TVTropes.

It was actually quite simple in my opinion. All you need is a good memory of where you've been, and where you haven't.

I like the Water Temple in it's entirety, but there's a few places that can really confuse you.

I used a key on the wrong door once (I didn't think that was actually possible until then) and was confused as flurp until I finally found another key. I had to do it all on my own, as no walkthrough I searched in had a solution for my problem. Well, at least not one that was flat out explained. I didn't feel like looking for every "SMALL KEY" text in the walkthrough to try and find the ones I hadn't gotten. It was an, erm, interesting experience...

That hole behind the hookshot chest used to get me Every. Single. Time.

Not any more, though. I make sure of that. I've spent too many hours and lost too many hairs because of it.

The water dungeon was very tedious. I'll admit to that. But it was also a beautifully designed dungeon. It was rather difficult too.
Games need that. They're just too easy nowadays. The water temple is a great example of how dungeons should be. The only reason it was tedious for me was because you had to put on the steel boots and then take them off, and switching in and out of the equipment screen was annoying. Other than that, it was great. My third runthrough I kept a notepad next to me to keep track of where I had been. Great stuff icon_biggrin.gif
