nintendo never lost it's originality with their games , they're always original with everything they make.
the only problem here is that they are running out of ideas with the zelda series and plus , the generation we are in now is totally diffrent than the generation we grew up with as a child. there are new graphics and engines coming out. therefore , you can kiss the old classic zeldas goodbye and get used to the new generation of zeldas.
if you don't like it , simply just don't buy the games and move on with your daily lives and stick to zelda classic . there's nothing any of you guys will do about it anyways.
I'm actually anticipating for this release and will actually buy the game and give it a go at it.
it seems interesting enough.

Maybe you'd be better off if you'd just ignore the people you consider immature and instead respond to the intelligent discussion that's also going on in this thread.
If you think that any kind of speculation is immature, then this is the wrong thread for you. A new trailer just came out, what do you think we're gonna do? It's Nintendo's intention to make people curious and to spurn them to start speculating.

There's plenty the fan base can do to influence a game series. For instance, public demand is the reason Twilight Princess was made. When enough people don't like the changes to a series, "fan clamor" often changes the way they approach future titles.
Nintendo definitely isn't always original. No game company is that infallible. To tell the truth, one of the things that *does* characterize Nintendo is that they have a pretty good record at admitting their mistakes and backtracking whenever they do something that turns out to be unpopular. It's the reason today's Zelda series doesn't have side-scrolling and "lives." There's not reason to follow Nintendo blindly.

I was hoping for a pure Wii Zelda game that is really classical in gameplay and would not have anything crazy as this. Also, if it's on the wii, I can finally buy a game for that damn system. There really isn't that much good games that suit my liking on the Wii, so I'm rather disappointed with it.
They should make Legend of Zelda based on playing cards or tarot cards or something.
You know, Boss 1 - The Magician.
I don't know, they could have used something better than Trains.
If the make a Zelda based on playing cards (Spade 2 - Octorok)
Then I'm so buying the playing cards and play with my friends, despite how geeky that is.

Enough is enough, Nintendo. A Mario game is supposed to accompany a new system - That's how it's been, up until you started effing up, around the time of the gamecube. Mario Sunshine was not acceptable.
That point aside, when I watch this video, I'm glad my DS was stolen.

ps: Damn you, Nintendo. You made me break my silence. Friggin out of touch game company.

I'll have you know, I LIKED Super Mario Sunshine, and I LIKE the cel-shaded graphics... Who are you to throw your opinion out as fact? You're not the only one in existance with an opinion...
On-topic: I don't exactly have high hopes for this game... If they show that they will NOT make the dungeons small and linear like in PH, then perhaps I'll consider getting it. The two things about PH that disappointed me were the tiny islands and the small, linear, boring dungeons. I want big areas to explore, darn it!!
However, the fact that Link now has a train is interesting. I'd like to see just how they'll use that...

It's only his opinion, you shouldn't be mad at him for it.

That's not the point. By saying "didn't they hear we hated the graphics?" he's being self-involved in that because he hates the graphics, obviously EVERYONE must hate the graphics. And it's simply not true. Only a small demographic hates the graphics.

Actually it's a lot of people, because all people care about are graphics.
See, there it goes again. That hater attitude. You say that because people give a sh*t about graphics, that therefore people who say the graphics suck are in the majority. WRONG, dammit. I know it's hard for a Celda hater to understand, but for a lot of people it's BECAUSE they care about graphics that they love the Celda graphics.
EDIT: Sorry, messed up. I missed the word "are" in your post. Now I'm confused about your intentions, frick.

Look at us guys, this game is tearing us apart and downing our respect for eachother. Darn choo choo train game!
I was about to bring up the same thing.
Just wait for a demo or something, guys. If you don't like it, then don't buy it. For all we know, it could actually be some incredibly cool game, but Nintendo just chose a bad choice of footage for the trailer. And if you don't plan to even give it a chance, don't bother trying to ruin it for everyone else too. Please, and thank you.
Now, on topic-ish, I fairly liked the WW graphics, but was kind of annoyed when it got so blocky on the DS. However, it grew on me, and I eventually began to like the graphics just as much. The graphics isn't what I'm worried about. It's how they're going to make Link driving around in a choo choo train and conductors outfit seem the slightest bit cool.

I honestly can't believe you brought that up. If you want to play a card game, play Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh. Turning it into a card game would be their way of pretty much screwing over any fan they've had in the past, and focusing on the kids who grew up watching Yu-Gi-Oh and those other 4Kids shows. I mean, if they took that path, they might as well just get rid of Like, Zelda, and Ganon altogether
Now, I agree that the graphics are less than spectacular. Sure, it's the DS, which is basically a portable N64, but the Wind Waker graphics were tired as soon as Minish Cap was released, not to mention the rest of the games past WW. I don't want TP-quality graphics, and I'd like to see a new-styled 2D Zelda, but if they have to go with 3D, at least come up with something new. That said, they could be worse
And the train. It's Hyrule, so get over it; it's entirely possible to have a magic-driven train. I mean, Ganon's Castle floated in midair over a pit of magma in OoT, so why shouldn't magic exist to push things forward? Yes, I'd like to see a free-roaming overworld, but having your world exploration limited to where your train can travel is definitely a unique way of exploration, as well as making sense for a limited overworld. I mean seriously, which makes more sense? "Can't sail beyond this specifc point because it's more dangerous than sailing into a windstorm" or "Can't go beyond where the tracks end"
And as said multiple times before, we haven't even played it yet. All we can tell about it so far is it looks like a modified Phantom Hourglass. We have no idea what awaits us beyond what the first trailer has shown us. It is entirely possible things will change between this showing and the final release. But, I am sort of beginning to agree that Mr. Shiggy has his head up his ass, and Nintendo is telling him how to make games now

Uhh. PowerGauntlets? Why are you angry at me? I'm the one who likes the Celda stuff...
I didn't realize this.
Anyway, everyone's seen the trailer, right? if not...
