does anybody else want to comment on the quest being overly difficult? the only one who has complained about this has been CastChaos, and he has complained a lot. i would like to hear what everybody else says whether they say its easy or hard or impossible. remember, i was the only one to beta test this.

I never really had a problem with the difficulty until the very last dungeon and the water palace. There were plenty of pots for health in most dungeons too.
The only thing is that level 7 and 8 were kinda boring since all the rooms were just packed with enemies. The puzzles in level 9 were a nice refreshment though.

I think just beating level 8 that you go overboard with the darknuts , to many to be fun , also with the bat robes , why 5 or 6 on one screen where there isn't even something to gain when you defeat them , the only thing it gives me is a sore finger from pressing the alt button icon_wink.gif
If you have like likes in your level then also think about the chance people lose their shield with the rest of the enemies and firing statues , they be dead and killed in no time , and can lose interest in the quest if they have to leave the level to go buy a new shield several times icon_wink.gif
Thats just my 2 cents about it and I know there will be enough players that will say it's not hard enough , you never can please everybody , but for me an average player it's real hard on some screens with all the green darknuts icon_lol.gif

As far as difficulty, Level 1 and the Magical Shortcut were the hardest for me. Level 1 because a Gleeok with a wooden sword, and only 3 hearts is just a bit much for me... I finally did get it, though. The boss for level 2 also was a little tough on me, though. Once you get a little further, the difficulty is not as bad since you have more life. At least that was my experience. The like likes were annoying at times- I probably bought a new shield 8-9 times throughout. I blame myself, not the designer, though. Anyway, it's not like money is hard to get.

vravelo, go up and then left from the entrance of the dungeon into a passageway. from the far top right screen, just hug the wall to links right when you leave the room and youll get there.

I'm having a problem getting the white sword. When I get to the screen at Guardian Battle, the boss is not there. However, If I go to the north side of the screen, I get blocked off by two rocks and the boss appears.
When I move down to fight him, he again disappears along with the rocks.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Level 4...? I needed to think some before remembering that it's on Maze island, so at the northeast point. From the game start point, west and then north was the place where you needed to use the whistle. from there north then east takes you to Maze Island. Press the space bar and look up the inner route there, since you can see the screens you already visited.

gekos, i have never seen that happen before. have you tried saving and quiting and then restarting again? what were the events that led up to you going to the guardian battle where the boss was not there? did you get there initially and then died at the boss and when you went back the boss was gone, or did you never get a chance to fight the boss? did you enter the screen and leave off the bottom of it immediately? i need some more information if im going to be able figure out what went wrong.

you should check out the basic overworld walkthrough in the quest walkthrough. it just says generally where you should go to get to the next level. that aside, you should go west from kakariko village (central area of the far south). keep on the southern edge to the far southwest corner to get some hints on how to get through the lost woods. across it there is the ancient graveyard, where minilevel 4 is. level 5 is in the lost woods, and you will get help to get there on the west side of the woods.
