Eh, I've been listening to the swarm alerts and going after a lot of foreign Pokémon, but I really could be doing better if I really tried.

If you wanna start over so badly, why not save up and buy the other version? Seriously. Not only could you play through the game again, you could also fill your Pokédex even more by sending in some of the version-exclusives in the other copy.

Why start over? I'm the kind of guy who takes pride in a game slot with a lot of progress in it. Could just be nerdism, but whatever.

I have the same mentality. Although, instead of going out and buying the other versions of the game, I restart FireRed or Sapphire to fulfill my Pokemon needs, and then once I complete it again, I import my party onto whatever Pokemon DS game I'm playing.
Because then you just wasted money on that game...what is with people and how stingy they are with starting over?
It may not be considered a waste to someone who chooses to go ahead and do that.
I don't like to start over because I come attached to the Pokemon that I have. I know that they're not real, but I don't want to delete them forever. As I said above, if I restart FireRed or something, I always import my party Pokemon first so that I still have them. I also can't bring myself to delete a game with over 300 hours on it, because that's a large chunk of my time that I won't be able to get back... so this game is there to remind me of that >_>

I don't know if it's only him, but one of the people who works on translating the pokemon games is a member of SomethingAwful, the nexus of the internet essentially. As a result, there's a bunch of little gems hidden inside the lines of various trainers that we probably miss (for example, in Ruby/Sapphire there's a trainer named Roxy who has a wooper, which is a reference to the BEST pokemon LP ever. Google RedChocobo Crystal for the hilarity).
I think one trainer shouts out "My Pokemon is fight!" too.

Strangely enough, though, Latios would run first if a low-level Pokémon went against it...
