Here's a weird commercial with Robin Williams for OoT 3DS.

Best. Commercial. Ever.

Got it today, played it a bit, (So far, I'm just about to go into Kakariko for the first time.) and my main thoughts are Holy God, these graphics are so awesome, they're melting my brain. Seriously, the detail is brilliant. The Great Deku Tree in 3D, with revmped textures, is one of the best things I've seen in a Zelda game. Except maybe that HD Zelda tech demo they had at E3. Also, one thing I noticed while playing:

Another (possible) easter egg has been discovered:

You can see it at about the 9:00 mark. I'm not sure if it's what he says it is or not. I mean, it certainly looks similar, but it could just be, well, nothing.

Huh. That's kind-of interesting. But I doubt it's intentional, I mean, it's a green book, it's not as if there's only one green book throughout the centuries of Hyrule's history.

EDIT:
And even if it is intentional and it is supposed to be the Book of Madura from LttP, it's not as if a lot of people would jump to that conclusion.

Lucky skunks. It doesn't come out in the States until tomorrow.

But I can wait...

Yeah, but the points he makes in the video are so true. It seems that Nintendo really tried to make a game for the hard core Zelda gamer.

I think he's an idiot cuz it's the Book of Mudora, not "Madura." Okay nerd moment aside, go look at these Google image results. All the official Book of Mudora artwork has an image of the Triforce with some manuscript written above it, not the Sheikah symbol. inb4 "lol retcon" (and inb4 someone mentions my character Erai that only a couple people would know about), it's probably just a book for aesthetic purposes.

I'm also disappointed in all the wall decorations showing off hints so blatantly like that. We didn't need hints before. We figured them out on our own like REAL MEN. ... okay so what I mean is, it's kinda cool for those who've never played it and they probably wouldn't recognize them as hints first off anyway, so I might be overreacting as a veteran player. But still... eh. I'm getting the game anyway so we'll see. icon_heh.gif

I think those posters are really cool. They make it look like Impa is very wise and it's like she wants to travel the world just like Link.
And I like the art style for the Posters as well.
And most likely, people won't notice those posters at all since they aren't expecting something like that. We know it because we've beaten it over and over. But a new player seeing a picture of a fish and a bigger fish with it's mouth open, they'll probably not even expect it.

@Keiichi: That's a neat way of looking at it. The Impa thing, that is.

I don't believe people will notice them either. As someone who's never played very far into OoT, I know I'd never think anything of them.

As for the Book of Mudora, it's possible that it is

1. The back of the Book of Mudora.
2. The front of the Book of Mudora, with different binding and a different cover. That would be my guess, since there's probably at least a hundred year gap between the events of OoT and LttP. I'm not saying that for certain, but generally in fan timelines they're not directly next to each other.
3. Not the same book. icon_blah.gif

If it's the back of the book, then it opens the wrong way. You can tell from the spine of the book that the side we see is the front, or the Kakariko villagers (Kakarikians? Kakarikans?) can't make books very well. Although, judging from the manner of the other stuff in there, the book probably wasn't made by a Kakariko villager.

Aren't books inverted or some crap in Japan? (hilarious gimmick by the way, yes, I called it a gimmick. Shoot me icon_razz.gif )

Either way, does it really matter? I mean, if you want to think it's the same book... think it's the same book. If you don't agree, then you don't agree. I don't see any reason to speculate on this subject, because it's not getting anywhere. IE. it doesn't matter, because even if it was the same book, it still wouldn't change anything in terms of timelines or stories or... anything. It's just a green book, it makes no difference no matter what book it is... unless it was the bible or something, which it obviously isn't.

I think he means they write right to left instead of left to right.

Well I agree that they are weird people, yes there books read right to left so it could be the back of the book.
But it's VERY likely that it's a different book. Does there have to be only 1 green book in the world?

To throw in my two cents, I think it's a different book. But that's just me.

Onto the important issue. Now that OoT 3D is finally released, has anybody found anything really new in it, aside from these little easter eggs? Anything new?
