Meanwhile, in unspoiling news, it's been revealed that you can't post on Miiverse while playing Smash 3DS because apparently, the 3DS can't handle both running at the same time (The New 3DS can however, which I'm sure is not going to go over well with some people). I'm extremely disappointed by this news because I had quite a few posts thought up that I was looking forward to posting on Miiverse, but I can't do it now).

While yes, I'm somewhat disappointed, however it was explained that it's due to a limitation of the system, rather than them just pushing people to use other the other system.

Either way, while yes, disappointing, it doesn't seem to be a game ruiner. I don't really use Miiverse much anyways.

So I got the email from club nintendo for this. I don't really like the button setup and wish the option to change it was in this.

So testing out each character:

Megaman: Megaman feels very...awkward. His aerials all seem pretty junky apart from Fair and Bair. Recovery is okay, other special moves don't seem to be too useful. His ground based moves seem much better still.

Link: Still slow and sluggish. Nair and Bair sped up. Recovery slightly better but still bad in my opinion. New dash attack kinda sucks too. The old one seemed faster to me and had less ending lag.

Mario: Seems nerfed. Recovery has less reach than Link's slightly and a few of his attacks seem slower.

Pikachu: Heavily nerfed. Speed and physics of moves seem the same, but they do quite a bit less damage and have a much harder time of getting a KO.

Villager: OP. Wow, way OP. Two great recoveries, really good aerials, a down smash that puts you in a pit and an overpowered side smash to combine it with? Hi Meta Knight 2.0... So much for balance..

This will probably make me sound stupid, but what do "Fair" and "Nair" mean in this context?

Fair means forward air and Nair means neutral air.

Hylian Glaceon: Not sure why you think villager is so OP :P I'm worried about Grininja

Villager OP, nerf pls

Here are my thoughts on the characters in the demo: they are all really fun to play as

In all seriousness, I have no qualms with any of them.  Maybe it's the "I'm not a competitive tourney player" in me saying that, though.  Mario felt great all around with fast attacks, Link felt like he hit hard, Pikachu felt ridiculously fast and unpredictable, Pink-haired Villager is adorable, and Mega Man is great at whittling people down and then Mega Bustering/Flame Swording/Air Shooting them off the stage.  Maybe I don't analyze everything down to the last frame enough, though. :blah:

I admit I probably sound like I've never played Smash before, but that's not the case, I used to religiously, it's just that it's been a few years.  So I had to reacquaint myself with an old friend.

Okay, yeah, I never thought Villager was that OP until I saw this. Character's shouldn't be able to straight up brick final smashes like that.

On another note, does anyone else have a lot of lag booting up or closing the Smash Demo? It takes awhile for it to do either on my system. I thought the system crashed a few times even.

No, it's the same for me too HG. Especially when I hit Home. It takes over ten seconds to take me to the menu screen.

(Sees the 8 second clip of Villager pocketing the Triforce, preventing Link from doing his Final Smash) What....Did I see that correctly?

Meanwhile....

It seems you can use a 3DS as a controller for the Wii U version by connecting the 2 versions. I wonder what other things will be available by connecting the 2 versions.

All right, I have decided.

Spoiler
is my absolute favorite.

If I had to list my five favorite newcomers, they'd be: this character, Gekkouga Greninja, Shulk, Rosetta Rosalina and Reflet Robin (In random order).

Pacman gets an honorable mention because he's fun to play as, despite me not liking the character's looks.

It seems like the hype is dying ever since the full roster was revealed.

I'm honestly disappointed in this. The roster shouldn't be the ONLY thing people are hyped about. After all, there's a lot more features to be hyped about, such as some of the features of the game, the moveset editor, oh, and did I mention how the character's play, rather than just who's going to be in it.

Yeah, my hype has increased too. I'm really excited for this game and after playing the demo on my 3DS which, by the way, was amazing, I'm even more excited.
