My old computer could only handle ZC 1.90, and even then every dungeon looked too dark.

That feels like a quite comfortable issue, my computer (using Linux) can't play any midi sound. icon_eyebrow.gif

You probably need timidity. Should be sudo apt-get install timidity fluid-soundfont-gm fluid-soundfont-gs if you're using Ubuntu.

Woo! My Wi-fi just got back up! I got Mega Man 4 and all the MM10 DLC. And holy cow, is Bass awesome! Seriously, Mind=Blown. Too bad you can't play as Bass in anything other than the Story mode.

Yeah, I know...but if Bass were in any other mode...well, he would simply destroy everything (including the stage itself)

Come on, is Bass really that good?

In other news, my favorite mystery show, Foyle's War, just aired the first episode of the new season last night. This normally wouldn't be too big of a deal, except that it was supposedly canceled at the end of last season (due to World War II ending in the show). I just happened to come across it in the channel guide, and got really, really excited. Oh, and it was on PBS, so there wasn't a single commercial break the entire hour and a half show, which made it even better.

Well I just started a really complex Super Metroid hack called: Super Metroid Lagacy.

It's a cool game. I use ZSNES for it only.

Well, Yapollo did exaggerate it quite a bit but he is absolutely awesome. In fact, I'll make a list of pros and cons:
Pros:
  • Shooting in 7 directions
  • Rapid fire
  • Dash
  • Long jump (jump while dashing)
  • Mega Man and Proto Man get Rush Coil and Rush Jet. Bass gets a jetpack which has a spread shot of 3 bullets.
Cons:
  • Can't shoot through walls
  • Can't walk while shooting
  • Shots do half damage
  • His shop has less and is more expensive than Mega Man's. I think it's the same as Proto Man's though.
The cons don't really come into effect that much. The only time any of the con's nearly came into effect is when I couldn't run while continuoisly shooting to get past the spiked-footballs in Strike Man's stage. And the pros help so much that I didn't even need to use E-Tanks to beat the game. At all. True, it was on Easy Mode but I had to use E-Tanks as Mega Man on Easy Mode. I was also 14 minutes quicker as Bass but then, I was trying to do it as fast as I can and constantly dashing.

I've been playing around with greasemonkey adding many features to my PureZC that I'd find neat and I've just managed to get a kind of quest preview working - the idea is that you hover over a link to a quest and see the actual quest page as a preview. It's still going to take time to code fully but here's what it could look like:

IPB Image

Ideally it'd just show the area I'm interested in (description, screenshots) and allow you to click it to go to the quest's page. Javascript is cool.

I'll second that, great Javascript coding, Koopa.

And about Bass...maybe I should stop exagerating so much....nah.

Besides Bass is always shown as a power-house in the Battle Network Series.

So the final grades of the year are up for my university. I managed to maintain a 4.0, despite scoring an abysmal 60 (!) on the physics final (I scored either perfect or had bonus on all the regular tests icon_razz.gif). How'd everyone else fare this semester/year? Or maybe you're still in school?

...Just keep rubbing it in. I have 2 weeks plus finals week left. But, I did just take the AP United States history exam. I though I did fairly well, despite being horrible at history and studying for about a total of three hours. I'm really good at BSing essays. icon_razz.gif

I'm almost done, but I still have the lovely, hard month of May to plow through (then maybe I can finish my quest).
