*sigh* My computer really sucks. The two games I've been wanting to play most, that I already have, are Batman: Arkham Asylum and Minecraft. Unfortunately, my laptop gets really hot when I play those games, and it automatically shuts down when it overheats. Yesterday, I only got to play about 15 minutes of Batman before it shut down. I had thought that using my cooling pad would have helped, but it's the wrong shape for my computer and it's next to impossible to line it up correctly. I end up covering the vents and causing it to overheat faster. Normally, I can get around a half-hour to an hour of game time before it turns off.

Minecraft isn't much better on that regard. I started building a structure I had planned out in Paint, and only got the first handful of rooms finished (6x8 sized rooms, height of 5) before it shut down. (to be fair, though, I spawned in a jungle and had to do a LOT of terraforming beforehand)

I know it's a good thing to limit playing games to some extent, but this is just ridiculous and I don't even get a choice in the matter. I'm actually starting to consider turning on the air conditioner and just putting the computer directly on the vent.

Hey Kurt, have you tried using a Can of air to clean the vents out on your laptop?
And You could maybe get a laptop cooling base, I had to get one my lappy was over heating like crazy. After getting my lappy was 80% better icon_smile.gif

The cooling pad I mentioned is one of those cooling bases. My laptop is just weird in the way it's set up. The vents are positioned to where they're covered up whenever the computer is placed on a flat surface, causing all the hot air to be forced out through the speakers. The cooling base I have blows air to cool the laptop, but the fans are positioned to where the laptop has to be positioned halfway off the cooling pad sideways, and since the cooling pad needs to have the little elevating tabs flipped out (you know, you flip them open to tilt the thing and provide space underneath), it causes the entire thing to be off-balance and makes everything not only hard to use because pressing any key makes the whole thing wobble around, but also because the constant movement and wobbling tends to re-position everything to where the vents are covered up once again.

Honestly, the only decent thing I can do anymore is just save up money and buy a new computer, which is going to be hard because I live in a very small town and absolutely nobody is hiring. This thing is just causing problem after problem. First the charging cord stops working and I have to search everywhere for a new one because nobody seems to stock the correct one, and then once I get a hold of a new one and plug it back in, I find out that the battery is shot and I only get about five minutes of time before the battery goes dead. (no joke. I managed to show my siblings two Brentalfloss lyric videos before it went dead, and I unplugged it the moment I was ready to show them)

Anyways, back on the topic intended. I'm wanting to look for a hacking guide for "Mega Man Battle Network". I plan on doing an LP of the series, and would rather begin with the first one. No, I'm not using the hacking guide to cheat. The series is made to where if you know how to swap one or two hex values around, you can build custom boss battles. I thought it would be fun to show some of those as I do the LP.

Other than that, I'm playing a demo of a game called Freedom Planet (check SonicRetro for details, even though it's not a Sonic game), and trying to get the time needed to unlock the hidden character: seven minutes.

I was browsing through a list of old games I had and popping them in for the heck of it. Mostly just playing like the first level or so, but I put in some progress on Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA), and beat Super Mario Land for the first time. It was a fun little experience, but now I need to finish Super Mario Bros. 2. I've beaten it before, but I'd like to do so again. A certain song from it had been stuck in my head recently, which made me pull it out in the first place. <.<

Super Mario Land is an awesome game. I've spent many nights after my friends left playing SML on the Super Gameboy, working on beating it faster and faster. I've probably played that game over 100 times to be completely honest. icon_sweat.gif

Coincidentally, I decided to play SML3 last night. Got past the first world and then fell asleep. I woke up today to 100% the rest of the game, and had at least 20,000 extra coins that weren't counted towards my 99,999.

Yeah that sounds like you are having a rough time with, I always say if the computer gives more trouble then its worth to mess with, its time for a new one... I know getting a new computer is quite now a days. with hardly anyone hiring. The best thing you could maybe do is go look around at some pawn shops or something and see if you can a fairly cheap used laptop at one (If there is any around you.)
I know a used computer is not the most desired. but when it comes to the point where the old one is hardly working (And half dead battery)
Its time for replacement or some sort.

Got a but further into Gravity Rush. Such an amazing title. I especially love the OST for this game. If you're planning to get a PSVita, then you have to get this game.

I also continued Kid Icarus Uprising. I'm on Chapter 17. Man this game is longer than I thought. How many chapters total are in this game?

Finally, finally, finally managed to start playing Demon's Souls today, in preparation for the Dark Souls PC port later this month. It's great so far, though I don't really see the legendary difficulty yet. It's actually pretty easy if you play conservatively and don't rush blindly into things expecting to be friggin Kratos.

I feel like both titles rely on what class you chose. Also, the worlds later on can be extremely annoying (bottomless pits, random flying manta rays, poison). Demon souls also doesn't have checkpoints like dark souls. More power to ya though, they're both fun, and if you aren't dying all the time, I imagine they're even more so.

I played the first level with a few different classes before I picked which one I would permanently stick with. Chose to build a caster based on the Royal, cause you get the awesome Silver Catalyst and Fragrance Ring for free. Plus you start with soul arrow (which I like better than flame shot tbh).

25. It really is pretty long. I was thinking 9 would be the end, then "Hehe, no, plot twist." And then the rest of the game after that can pretty much be described is "Drop whatever you're doing, new plot arc out of nowhere!" Which I honestly like; it kept the game fresh and entertaining.

Persona 3 Portable has got me hooked. I started playing on Friday and I'm already10 hours into the game. Though it feels very weird to play as a girl.

I need to finish Xenoblade soon because Last Story releases today. Apparently the shipment got delayed.

Well got a little farther on Ocarina Of Time, Finished the Forest Temple. Now I'm on my way to the dreaded Fire Temple >_<.
The last time I played I couldn't figure that place out at all and then quit.
But Now I'm quite determined to beat this game. I have to beat it at least once in my life D:

Just made it in the middle of Sword Valley in Xenoblade. Is this just me or is "the true identity of Metal Face" WAY overpowered? I'm at Level 49 right now and this boss is kicking my ass!

I'm addicted to FIFA street 2012! I just can't get the player creations to look like my friends! icon_frown.gif As soon as the new Elder Scrolls online comes out I will be addicted to that too!
