The new graphics and music make the Wii version instantly better for me. Plus the fact that Cave Story won't run on my computer. icon_razz.gif Just reached the "final" boss, the (SPOILER) Undead Core/Possessed Misery/Possessed Sue. Dang, that's pretty tough. Not too incredibly tough, but I'm on low health, my guns are low leveled, and I'm almost out of missile amo from the last three fights. This could be tough...

I played Cave Story a long time ago, but it was only last year I was able to beat Hell.

Best. Gaming. Accomplishment. Ever.

Wow. Like I said in the accomplishments thread, I beat Ballos without getting hit! I think it's safe to say that the Sanctuary is the hardest video game level I have ever played. Cave Story was a great game, definitely worth the money. So, now I can't decide between playing Curly Story or Boss Rush mode. Choices...

You know what I hate? When you start playing a game, and find out it's rubbish or frustrating and stop playing it which causes extreme boredom. What's worse is I no longer have a working computer that has the Nintendo WFC thingie installed so I can't get Mega Man 4. Or check if Bass mode for Mega Man 10 is out in Europe yet. I wish there was some way for the Wii to connect straight to the internet. Like, you know, an Ethernet port, maybe? Nice work, Nintendo. Real nice work. icon_sweat.gif

They do make a LAN adapter. I don't know where to get Nintendo's in the UK, but there are generic ones for around £15.

The GAME chain of stores seems to sell them. (UK readers will know why I spelled that word purple.)

Eh, I can't really be bothered buying one. Besides, it doesn't actually matter. The computer that had the WiFi thing is down until next week or so when we'll have a new version of every part of a computer and there'll be 2 hard drives:the old one that has all the stuff and a new one, for some reason. Then, we'll move it into the living room where the one I'm using is and move this one into my room, giving me something better than a new laptop: the computer that already has all my stuff. icon_kawaii.gif Although, I'll still go on the one in the living room, occasionally; for GMod and (when it comes out) Portal 2.

Oh, dear lord. I just had the computer I usually go on moved into my room and I'm using my TV as the moniter. My TV is tiny. Before, I could fit 13 icons into a column but now, just 7. I can't wait to see how messed up ZQuest will be. However, there is one good thing: the computer that was in my brohter's room (that he never used, I must stress that) has now been moved into the place this computer used to be and has alos been thoroughly upgraded. The only thing from the old computer that's still there is the hard drive and we got a second one. It's even been upgraded to Windows 7! In this post, I have been sad and happy! icon_deformed.gif

EDIT:I just realized my last post was mostly about the exact same thing the happy part of this post! icon_deformed.gif

I have about the same number on my computer too, and ZC looks fine in it. icon_wink.gif And congrats on the upgrade. icon_smile.gif

Blaman, do you use windowed or fullscreen? I jsut tested it and in fullscreen, the right half of the rightmost combo on the combopage-bar-thingy was cut off. I might be able to live with using a large windowed version.

EDIT:I haven't tested ZC yet but I think it'll be fine in fullscreen.

EDIT2:ZC is fine but it feels incredibly weird to play your quest on a TV. Seriously, it feels so incredibly weird.

I've used full screen before without any problems. O_o I've also used windowed without problems. Is it possible to increase your resolution? (I'm not sure, as I've never tried using my computer as a monitor before.) Maybe that can help a bit.

If anything, playing on a TV would be awesome for me; it would capture the kind of feel like it were some sort of official zelda game, especially if you're playing it with a controller rather than a keyboard. icon_wink.gif

Yeah, that's kind of what it felt like, almost as if Ninty made it. Although, using a controller would make it feel a lot more like that. Unfortunately though, no, I can't increase the resolution.

My old computer has its own bad story concerning Zelda Classic. My old computer could only handle ZC 1.90, and even then every dungeon looked too dark. As soon as I switched my montior, I could not only a) Actually play through a game (since I could now see), but also b) USe ZC 1.92 and ZC 2.10. Still, my computer still cannot handle 2.5.
